Share ko lang.. brought my SF up to Pagudpud.....i really like the power this SUV gives... power starts at 2200 RPM and you really get to feel the power. Passing cars along Mcarthur highway was a breeze... I only averaged 11.4km/liter with 5 adults and 2 kids... lots of baggage.

Sharing some pics..copied from the HARI pics..but instead of sa Sand dunes of Laoag...its from the Bangui Windmills.

left Manila with 800+ km on the odometer....came home with 2050+ km... now time for the first PMS

I also noticed..the right side of the 2nd row seats...can slide forward by moving the level...but on the left side...first you need to slide it then move forward the back part of the seats....but getting in and out is really a trick....lol.....

similarly, i asked the casa to program the autolock feature of my 2013 sorento. sabi nila wala pang 2013 software na pinapadala yung planta. mos likely, baka yung computer ng hyundai service centers ganun din.

Hindi naman lahat bopols. May matino naman kausap. Kaso kulang lang siguro sa technical updates ang HARI sa mga dealers nila.

Besides, we need to put some trust to them otherwise, kapag nagkaproblema ang mga unit natin, sila rin ang lalapitan natin.

SG..

Yung local naka EURO II emission kaya walang DPF. KDM at EUDM meron.

For me, mas maganda naka-detune ang PHDM para acceptable sa euro II diesels natin. Diyan nagkaroon ng problem nung una lumabas yung vgt ng Montero...mausok siya because naka-tune cya to euro IV. Either we use euro IV compliant diesel or have the Monty detuned sa casa to euro II

I was talking to the Bosch guy checking my DPF and found everything normal as he has a computer hooked to our SF3. He said the new motors tuned to Euro 5 is best left that way, otherwise modifying to detune will mean removing DPF causing triggers which is detected by the cars computer in terms of pressure mapping in the exhaust. As a result, will make the motor run worse. He said why detune a good motor with bad diesel when if fact the DPF filter is working to solve. The only downside I see is deterioration of the DPF, but since as he said that we have a lot of uneducated motorist the smoke that they see is actually not smoke but CO2 and water vapor. Further reading it seems that the best way to go about using bad diesel is really running the car at higher speeds this could mean a minimum 70 to 80kph. This way dissipation by the DPF filter is running more efficiently than driving in traffic where it rather collects that dissipates soot, it also means less instances of the cars DPF vapor events. I am not sure with the Montero if it is black smoke that is being spewed by the vehicle, ours is white.

sir...its meant to see the wheels when backing up using mirrors in case meron obstacle or something sa side ng SF natin.

next..bakit you need to re-adjust the mirror again...when you place it sa drive sir, babalik po ulit yun sa driving adjustment you have set previously.

Thanks for this info.... when I was backing up kasi bigla naglook down yung mirrors and I have to stop and re-adjust it manually. Didn't know it will return to normal if I placed it in drive. Anyway, as Mr. Titan said, I found out that placing the switch in the center would not activate this feature. I'm not comfortable kasi with the mirrors down while backing up....anyway, kanya-kanya naman yan kung ano nakasanayan mo na sa pagmamaneho.

HARI has a reason why they removed the DPF for the PHDM version... and I am assuming this is with the approval of Hyundai Korea. Otherwise, we would not be getting the 150,000 kms or 5 years warranty given our vehicles. We just have to trust them on this one. My experience with my Montero was initially I used Petron turbodiesel and it was mausok.... then I switched to Seaoil bioexceed and the smoke was gone becasue Bioexceed I think is euro IV. Mitsubishi got a lot of complaints regarding this and they fixed the problem by making the engine euro II compliant... nowadays no more mausok issues.

Seaoil Diesel used to be euro IV, but not anymore. Tip you wanna know if your diesel is clean when filling up look if the color is clear as water more likely you are filling up with at least euro IV, the yellow or other color it means it may have a higher sulphur content.

Just by pass it by placing the side mirror switch to the center at all times. When you back up or put in reverse it won't do its look down function. Nonetheless, the feature for me is great I get more bang for the Peso and it is useful.

I share your sentiments sir....even the side miror..pwede hindi fold yung mirror when we lock our vehicle..even for the drivers seat..hindi naman kailangan mag move when we get out after using our SF...all those features can be disabled.

Based from my previous SF. MAs malakas sa diesel kapag euro 4 ang ginamit ko. I am not sure if this is applicable to everyone.
