i have to agree with lui.

in terms of the speedometer cluster, i think parehas lang..but kdm has the korean version...the center display...my KDM unit has the bigger display.

I'm happy and contended with my Santa Fe..with the price difference of lets say less than P100K sulit na with the added features.

sir Esketi posted a well reply...

btw, local santa fe..wala headlight washer...
Sulit yung 100k extra. It would be very hard to get them aftermarket. Then again the use of some of the features may not be done often but nice to have. The steering wheel heater I use specially pag malamig at maulan it helps. The cooling seats very useful specially on those hot days. Rear window shades useful, my folks uses them. The 220v inverter is also useful at least you don't have to lug around a pig tail unit. The Actune 10-speaker sounds great, my folks are also impressed as it comes stock. you can invest a new sound setup, but that definitely would cost more. It all boils down to your preference really. If you do not mind having all these then go for the local Hari unit. Another advantage is the KDM is euro v, although we are not clean diesel yet, we will get there.. I feel the PH market is very competitive and more likely they would bring in better diesel.

I saw a non-OEM headunit but with a big screen sa Pitstop na nakakabit sa Sante Fe. Probably.. It is the same unit na piña kita sa Hancars. These are non bluelink.

Maglalabas naman ang SF ng masa price, inuubos lang 2nd gen inventory. Kaya nga wag bumili muna, hayaan muna mga guinea pigs to clear out the bugs.

Sana nga maglabas sila or ma-approve na yung law na magbibigay ng same priviledge sa tax similar ng jpepa.. 20% din daw yun.... Pero in fairness, kahit 1.8M, dami pa din bumibili.. ubos ang stock ng SF..

I dunno if your message was healthy, nothing inspiring or encouraging for the current owners. I hope your car breaks down and then buy a new Santa Fe. <just teasing>

All I can say is the new Santa Fe ROCKs!

Yan naman style ng Korean car dealers, offer the top of the line variants first since d pa ubos ang exisitng inventory ng 2nd gen.

Parang iPhone 5, those who bought the 50K + units, subjected to any tech bugs ng apple.

If I recall, those who jumped the bandwagon too soon sa release ng Hyundai Tucson, dibs puros problema sa dirty fuel and yun shocks bs yun. And need I mention the 1.4 accent knocking.

    -----

So ganyan lang yan Sta 3rd gen, yun mahal saka first prototypes muna. They cannot afford to offer it at only 1.8M, uubusan sila ng market share ng Montero and Fortuner.

Im sure they'll even release a MT SF gasoline version maybe 1-2 years from now, tapos mga 1.2M lang pero barebones yun ha

I think you are not getting the point Popcorn. Although we have a matter of opinion, but I think you should be a bit more careful when you do post yours. All consumers are aware of that. It is a matter of preference. No one, wants to be a test bed more so coined guinea pig. "Kanya kanyang trip yan eh, wag mong basagin." I need to correct you when you say prototypes, that is conditional and prior market sale. More so, as the years pass by there is a probability to have a certain product reduce in price depending on trim also sales volume, in fact those are only a few variables I have mentioned. I cannot agree with you to say that the price will drop, that is uncertain as forecast may change. Put into perspective experience and age, it is either you improve or regress. Currently, Hyundai has great design, trim option which consumers feel value for money that is why there is good sales even in the US which is a good sign. We all hope for better products, this is why we hope to see and experience through time. In my opinion, I cannot agree with you that you are sure as you have no control over these; your wild guess may be a probability and uncertain. We have gone through lots of Japanese cars and even American. In the end, it really is based on what the current preference and value could matter in a purchase. This time, the 2013 Santa Fe wins in our purchase decision.
