August 28th, 2007 05:10 PM #1guys, can you give an opinion about owning a hyundai pros and cons? my family will buy a new vehicle to replace our x-trail. my dad is leaning towards the all new altis but me and my mom are leaning towards the grand starex. for me i don't like the all new altis primarily because it is a CBU from Thailand, and from my experience from toyota thai CBUs (fortuner, i always use it), there are poor quality of workmanship everywhere (kalampag in the steering column na twice nang inayos ng casa but still coming back, bad appointments of plastic material and the choking of the CRDi engine) an bad service from some Toyota casas. can you please give out your opinions so i can convince my dad into buying a hyundai. thanks!

2. Di ka napapahiya sa overtake (hehe)
3. Turbo!!
4. comfortable ride
5. matipid sa gas
6. tahimik na engine (kaysa sa ibang CRDi)
7. solid structure ( solid ang mga pinto)
at marami pang iba

Medyo daw me kamahalan, at may mga napapangitan sa likod.
For the 2005-2006, ayus na ayus.
Ooops, may mga budget Starex nga pala, un mga Pro. Malamang d mo trip ito.

August 28th, 2007 08:27 PM #5I already owned two starexe's already and these are the early one's 97, 98.
They are very reliable. Very good airconditioning and parts prices are cheaper by more than half compared to japanese. They say resale value is not that good but i sold my 97, after buying it used with a profit after using it for 4 years.
There are also some minor issues but i guess it comes with wear and tear and easy to fix.
Especially now, you can't go wrong with a hyundai.Last edited by warrior; August 28th, 2007 at 08:29 PM. Reason: typo error

STAREX namin e medyo dami naging minor defects.

August 28th, 2007 10:39 PM #10Pero teka sandali, the Grand Starex is huge! Really, really huge!
