This past Sunday after spending the whole day driving around...church, mall, dine or anywhere my family wants to go, I told them its my turn...so we went to a Hyundai dealership just to check on the Santa Fe but to my surprise meron nag iisang naka park/display na Veracruz so I immediately check on it. All I can say is wow, interior is Lexuslike, exterior is about the same height as the SF only longer and looking from behind it looks like a Starex. I could've ask to test drive it but we where so tired and so decided not to. I took some cellphone quality pics and I'll post as soon as I can. Now if only my wife will let me get the SF

very nice!. i wonder how fast it can go. :D

the SF lacks a 6th gear, it can actually go faster than it can, if only it has a 6th gear. I hope one day, they offer Six-speed tiptronic upgrade for the SF, or wishful thinking, DSG. hehe.

    Quite solid indeed.

It looks like Hyundai (and KIA) are improving constantly.

Hope they can offer the Sonata 2.0 diesel dito (kahit underpowered man siya)

Hope Veracruz benta nila sa pinas same as that in Korean market.

Looks like the koreans are really determined to excel in the automotive industry ha, they mean business and they're serious.
Quality na, mura pa . . Gone were the days when you wud think twice before buying a korean brand.
Ganda ng Veracruz! talking about styling. . .

You can't convert directly. The Philippines has one of the highest luxury taxes of any auto market. Any car over 600-700k pesos gets a ton of money added to its price here.

That said, the Veracruz is a pretty nifty car... the chassis and suspension aren't quite world class, but compared to everything else in its price class, here, it's a no-brains best buy... just like the old Starex was... tons of extras for your money.
