ride feels great now! before, i thought "i MUST love this car and learn to adapt to it" because no choice i have it already. but now im starting to appreciate it more!

when i was looking for compacts, i actually prefer the asx . but i have to find a new religion(the dominating car religion here for the longest time is Jap manufacturers hehe) because my last experience with my lancer is really garbage. i dont know if i got the philippines or thai assembled lancer then. plus, the pricing is not competitive. so i went ahead with the ix35 =]

im also experiencing a few noise every now and then at the back but i dont pay much attention to it. specially if i compare it to the very 1st batch of 8th gen civic that has lots of irritating cabin noise, i almost lost my mind isolating and dampening the insides. banawe shop owner was scratching his head why he's dynamatting a bnew civic without sound setup.

anyways i made a list of what to expect or what to indicate in my first 1k checkup:
striker - i can do this myself prolly
stabilizer link - if mine is not new design then i should inform casa
loose sensor unit - if mine are like others jumping around at the leftside
ecu reset - i heard this can do magic to most electrical issues =]
tire lock - i think its loose and contributes to noise specially when theres nothing loaded in the cargo

i guess its easier to love and appreciate a car if you know the cons and how to deal with it. thanks to this thread! but i must say i dread the thought of the engine stall issue. crossfinger

my last issue is the cargo screen. where is it? hehe. i usually load up sports equipment, gym bag, takeout food etc etc in the car. i wish theres a screen that could atleast isolate the smell of the cargo hehe. also when i have passengers, i dont want tthem to see the skidmarks i left in my undies =]

    i ll check out tucson.ph

Cargo cover is not available for GL Gas variant but you can buy it though. But for the gl crdi variant it comes with the unit. With regards to the stalling units I think a few of the gas variants got them only. Hope yours is not included in one of those. Have fun driving your tucson...

My apologies if i quote old posts, I;m busy most of the times anc can;t log-in as much as I want to.

My average is also around 13-15L/100 km for city driving -- I have a heavy foot but when i tried maintaining a 1.5- 2K rpm, my gas consumption is still around 11-13L/100 km. Do I need to reset my ECU also? Im driving a Theta II GLS (1 1/2 month old and around 3,500 km already). Thanks.

It's simple just go to our club thread and register there then list your name on the thread. as for me I can't go to the outreach program because im out of the country by then.

one more thing... . i guess, wala muna tayong tshirts......

nakausap ko si JACK about this, minimum daw ng tshirts is 50 pcs... haha!!

i guess, the tshirt is too late.. .pero pwede naman ata ipa rush eh..

Baka may ma suggest na way lang kayo to repair, napaka liit naman kasi para palitan yong buong bumper, ang mahirap pa di naman ata pwede masilyahan at pinturahan kasi wala naman paint yong bumper

Looking at the hole medyo mahirap nga yan sir, the best that I can think is pa-paint mo nalang ng body color para matakpan yan ng masilya, that should not cost you more than 3K for a good anzhal or nippon paint. depended kung san location mo...kung paranaque ka, pede kita irecommend sa tito ko.

Thank you for the reply, balak ko din patignan don sa mga gumagawa ng bumper, baka may "magic" silang masilya/remedyo, di naman din kasi ganon kalaki ang butas at gusto ko pa din kasi ma maintain yong current form ng bumper

cheapest way to do it is body filler, then etching primer, sand till smooth then flat black paint the whole bumper.
