    Hi,

Would anyone know the fuel efficiency/consumption rate of this car? I'm choosing between this one and a Focus diesel.

    Thank you so much.

Ang layo ata ng price difference nilang dalawa para pag-pilian sir..

Pero here's the FC database of my R-eVGT LMX20 (Premium)

2010 Hyundai Tucson iX LMX20 eVGT 4WD (all stock)

    Engine - 2.0Li. R-series
    Fuel - Diesel

    City driving:
    Light to moderate traffic - 8 to 10.5 km/L
    Heavy traffic - 6.8 to 7.5 km/L

    Highway driving:
    Eco mode - 19.8 km/L (90 km/h)
    R-eVGT mode - 11 to 13.5 km/L (140 to 195 km/h)

    Hi,

Thanks for your answer. I don't have an issue with the price. I have issues with fuel consumption rate. Hehe. So, it looks like the Tucson consumes as much gas/fuel as a CRV?

Nope. The CR-V's consumption is worse than the Tucson..

Here's the FC database of my CR-V

    2008 Honda CR-V 2.4S-X 4WD (all stock)

    Engine - 2.4Li. K24AZ
    Fuel - Gasoline

    City Driving:
    Light to moderate traffic - 7.2 to 8.1 km/L
    Heavy traffic - 6.1 to 6.7 km/L

    Highway driving:
    Eco mode - 13 km/L (90 km/h)
    i-VTEC mode - 11.9 km/L (130 to 180 km/h)

Wow. That's quite informative. Thank you.

Sorry to be off topic, would a Ford Focus (5 Dr) diesel be a better buy than Tucson for Manila driving?

For city driving, I would say yes. Kasi smaller car yung Focus TDCi, easier to park, easier to bring anywhere.

I think you best find another SA in Hyundai Quezon Ave. I don't think the standard discount for the Hyundai is Php10,000. May on the brochure, yes, but in real life? Anu yan? Sobrang grabe ba demand nowadays?

Also note that Pareng SG compared a 2.4L engine (Honda) with a 2.0 diesel engine (Hyundai). Being diesel, it's optimal for city driving due to the low RPM range of the eVGT's torque (2000-3500RPM) compared to the latter's VTEC (which you feel the oomph around 4000RPM)

If you're not in need for the space, I believe the Focus would be best. Not to mention its several hundred thousand pesos more affordable. But for a proper car for a person in his prime years, best go for the Tucson as compact cars make you look like that teenage kid with rich parents

Haha. Ah yeah. I will try to talk to another SA tomorrow about the discount. Feeling ko nga mababa ang 10K e.

I'm a girl. So, though I found your comment really really really hilarious, the teenage thing will not really work to my detriment.
