Your dealer should have installed beige colduroys for the seatcovers to match the beige interior color tone. :D

Yeah I know, they don't have much fashion sense I guess. They do not have any other color except gray. Am just keeping the crappy covers on until I get "leather" seatcovers made. Am thinking of having it done in a darker tan color to match the dash and the door handles.

glockmeister, walang bang cover sa may likod yan?? yung sa akin kasi meron, and since mine has climate control, walang mga buttons na pinipihit, lahat di pindot lang, saka naka wood grain yung panel ko and front fascia ba ang tawag dun. I also got the all leather option which set me back a good $500.00.

    Sir,

The models distributed here don't come with the cargo covers. Maybe they can be ordered through the dealers. They don't offer any other options, it would have been great to have the power moonroof and an all leather interior.

glock, this is the only pics i have so far of the seat covers. i'll try to get a pic of the rear cupholder soonest. i had it made in beige and grey to match the interiors. can't get the exact shade but i think it's close enough. pardon the quality, this was taken under the shade with my mobile phone hence the shadows. i'll also try to post better pics soon.

incidentally, i just ordered chrome side mirror and door handle covers from kspec. i expect to have it in about two weeks

Gas consumption isn't that bad. I averaged between 7 to 8 km per liter. During the first 1k. I expect that its consumption would further improve once it rakes in additional mileage.
same here. i average around 7 to 9 km/L with my automatic. you can get more fuel saving tips from driving habits to nitrogen on your tires from the tucson message board i posted.

To anyone with serious doubts of the Tucson's mettle in the off beaten path/areas should take a look at the above link and see how the Aussies use their Tucson.

Btw, the monotone Tucsons, are they really factory painted (in Korea) and not some back-room job in the local dealer? Hope anyone can confirm this.

Grabe, san mo naman nasagap yan? dalawa kami ng kasama ko na bumili ng tucson sa korea, my colleague got the monotone ebony black model, ako naman yung two tone para protection dun sa mga kalmot ng aso ko. sa korea, mas mura ng Won56,0000 or mga US$55.00 ang monotone.

The Tucsons with "body colored" bumpers come in painted from Korea. I actually ordered a Black one and specified that I didn't want the bumpers painted, just to save the 5k, besides, the dark grey color of the bumper wouldn't really contrast the black body. But when their shipment came - all of the 4x2's had body colored bumpers.

palagay ko matagal pa dalhin yung VGT version ng tucson sa pinas. last year mga august pa lumabas sa korea yung sa sorrento.i came back september last year, pero wala pang vgt version ang tucson dun sa korea. meanwhile, let's all enjoy na lang muna. with the crdi engine of the current tucson, i see no need for turbo or 4x4, oks na sa akin ang power nito.

diba the regular tucson 2.0 diesel already HAS a turbo? kaya siya nakaka-110ps out of only 2.0L
generally a 2.5L NA diesel only puts out 70 to 80hp

i was comparing the matrix diesel with the tucson diesel nung nag show sila sa glorietta. in every aspect, the matrix has the better engine, pero turbo din yung sa tucson. pareho torque (250Nm * 2000rpm), down by only 8ps yung matrix (102ps vs 110ps) pero 1.5L lang yung matrix.

    Huh?
    according to this page
    http://www.myhyundai.com.ph/showroom.../specs_4x4.htm

    it's a "2.0 CRDi Turbo Intercooler"

if that's not a turbo, i don't know what is. also i had a look at the engine bay in glorietta, it most definitely has an intercooler in there.
