well for me.. okay naman ung traction control ng tucson.. kasi last year mga december ata or early this year.. i was going around 140kph sa slex.. biglang nagovertake ako tapos may police block sa harap ko .. wala akong choice but to hit the breaks hard and swerve back sa middle lane.. ayun gumewang gewang ung tucson.. pero bumalik naman sa dati.. atleast buhay parin ako hehe..

Hi, last 3 weeks ago, it was raining quite hard along NLEX and I was following a Tucson very similar to mine just to check out how it looked. We were both running at 100kph and then suddenly the Tucson I was following slipped and span and passed 2 lanes and hit the bunker. I was stunned since that Tucson was just a meter away from me with my car just on the other lane. Luckily, I think there was no injury on the passenger of the other Tucson.
It's likely that torque steer(and an inexperienced driver) caused the accident.

FWD, torquey CRDi, and wet roads don't mix well. The stock Tucson tires are also apparently easily overcome by the the CRDi engine even in dry weather conditions.

    Hi All!

Newbie here and been reading this thread on Tucson for a couple of days now (whew haba na). Anyway, I'm looking to get a second hand Tucson, particularly an '07 CRDI A/T model.

What are the things I should look out for or inspect?
Average price range for '07 model?
    Other stuff, please feel free...

    Thanks in advance!

I think I also experienced this mga twice sa Santa Fe ko. The stock Kumho/Hankook tires are quite crappy to say the least. The CRDi has just too much torque especially for heavy footed drivers. Relax lang sa pag apak lalo na pag umuulan you don't want to much torque baka madulas ka...

I'd throw in hydroplaning din into the thoughtbowl since there are mentions about the not-so-decent tires.

+1, it's really important to reduce speed during rains.

Don't expect much with the stock Hankook tires, i've long change them into Bridgestone, considering my 07 CRDI 2WD got no traction control nor ABS, it need some better tires at least.

Will you consider a 2nd hand? I thought of selling my car the moment I bought it last March. Just decided to use it for a while. Let me know if you want it. See my post below.

68K na lang yung DP ng Tucson, 25K per month. Sa Wheels Inc E Rod yan.

kamusta naman ang tucson sa pagdaan sa baha? have to pass thru mandaluyong boni circle to get home and want to have more confidence passing thru there. compared sa ford escape mas mataas ba ang tucson?

Sir comparable naman po yung minimum ground clearance niya at around 200m. Hindi naman siguro masyadong mahihirapan basta wag naman sobrang taas nung tubig.

Any particular reason why you're selling your Tucson this early? (You said you were thinking of it the moment you bought it)....

I wanted to save money and save 300k. But I realized that 300k was worth if I got the car I really wanted. Now I am really bent on buying a CRV if someone will buy my Tucson at a nice price.

Also, my Tucson is very unstable when it reaches 100kmh which is pretty slow when driving at NLEX which I do often. I can really feel that my traction is loosing its grip on the road as if the air is lifting my car from below. I also saw a Tucson exactly like mine (even the color) that skidded along NLEX while I was admiring it meters away just a few months ago.

The Tucson CRDi is actually the most refined diesel car I got to drive but it still doesn't cut it for me. The CRV may be more expensive with higher gas prices but at least I will be happy.

OT: How do I get my own signature? I want one.

Thanks for the insight bro. My wife is looking at the Tucson for her replacement ride probably in a few weeks. Will keep this in mind when I discuss things with HARI.....

Also, I think(?) you need to hit a minimum number of entries before you can draw up your own signature. So, keep at it....

    Greetings mga ka-Tucson

    This is my first post.
I got a 20 month old Tucson, napansin ko lang lumakas ang noise and vibration ng engine kumpara nung bago sya. Is this normal?
    Has anyone experience the same?

    TIA
