My sister recently acquired a diesel Tucson and really likes it.
The driver who got to drive it around for a while says it really a hoot to drive and doesn't feel like diesel at all.
It's a 4x2 if this helps any.
Based on my observation, so far, so good.
No direct experience though.
Hope this helps.![]()
If the CRDi Tucson is out of budget... why not consider a Kia Carens? It's got more utility (having an occassional third row, it can act as a seven-seater for short trips) and it's got the same engine. Starting price is much lower, too, for the CRDi model.
It rides well and looks nice... the only issue (if you're considering an SUV-like vehicle) is the much lower ride height, but hey, a couple of big tires and a lift-kit can cure that... :naughty2:
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
i totally agree with niky. i would get the carens without hesitation. best bang for the buck! at 875k last time i checked, it is so much more practical with crdi diesel engine same as tucson coupled with a 6 speed tranny. smartest choice.
latest from Hyundai Qave:
Hyundai Tucson 4x2 CRDi "upgraded" version:
1,108,000 (less 20k discount) so.... 1,088,000![]()
dipa bro...still reading the tucson thread here at tsikot...
target would be early next year...
haba nga nung tuc thread...
even saw the new tuc of a friend who made some mods sa present ride nya...
ganda...
will look at the carens too...
but if its a 7-seater medyo malabo na syang kumasya sa garahe...
thanks peepz...

blade... go with the tucson... get the hyundai over the kia aside from the 5yr warranty of Hyundai you get better after sales service... and its so easy to complain to HARI (Hyundai Distributor) if the dealers are giving you a hard time...
mahal masyado gasolina ngayon...
Most Tucson owners here are ladies. I say 8 of 10.
evertime is saw tucson in the street it looks really cute to me solid built and well proportion than his brother sportage...if for your wifey remove adventure and croswind from your list tucson is way better than them...crdi engine is the best choice if you can afford however for gas variant is suggest you opt to more fuel efficient m/t transmission...
