Does anybody own the Tuc with a diesel motor? Me mum's in the market for a vehicle and we're looking hard at the Tuc with a diesel motor...
IMHO, a CRDI engine with an auto tranny is quite a combo...
I test drove a Tucson CRDi AWD. The engine is noticeably quiet for a diesel, with very very minimal diesel clatter (taka-taka-taka). No vibrations were observed. The automatic tranny has no noticeable shift shocks. My complaints is that the interior is so boring and very plasticky. Imo, the upholstery on the seats are not tasteful.Originally Posted by docgorio

Hi there,
Thanks to all your feedbacks regarding the Tucson, we checked this forum out before we actually went to get one. We are now the proud owner of a less than a week old Tucson
We had the seatcovers made at SureSeats in the Fort, it is so worth it at P4500perfect fit even and nice service. (I know I read about it here in this forum and vaguely remembered the figure P4500 somaski P5500 ang quote niya I insisted on P4500 and actually got it),
Now we are at the lookout for accesories like the cargo tray / mat / net, rear mirror for backing, door sill garnish.
By the way, I got quotes from 5 Hyundai branches and best deal we got by far was from Hyundai Balintawak. Look for Jay Gervasio. We are happy with his service.
Hope this helped.
am female FYI. am usually mistaken for a male kasi eh.
Hi OldBlue,
Nah we got the matic gas. We are traumatized diesel user eh. Hate being flagged down bythose pesky MMDAs arrgh
Nice choice Benzz, what color did you get? Am also looking for the OEM Cargo tray, just waiting for Darfsman's quote.
i got the diesel version, wala pa ding kausok usok, that is after almost 12K km using shell . Ang kinatatakutan ko ay yung makargahan ng gas, kasi madalas na tanong sa akin ng gasoline boy everytime i fuel up is sir, velocity ba? kaya madalas ay bumababa ako pag nagkakarga ng dieselOriginally Posted by benzz

Basta I hated the problem with MMDA and diesel and the bantay usok thing kaya di bale na lang no to diesel. Although it was a really old pick u na din naman. But the memory and experience got stuck eh.
