Nope. The Genesis Coupe is a bigger, badder car than the tiburon.

    ok, thanks.

don't like the genesis in-front but if i knew the price earlier (3 weeks ago), i will definitely choose this one over my navara. damn!

at least there's a reason to wait.

Grabe tuwing nakikita ko color na ito ng Genesis coupe parang mina magnet ako na makipila na rin Yan na yan ba mismo ang hitsura ng front ng Genesis? Napaka intimidating ang dating kasi.

The factory unit is a bit more plain ... but nothing that a custom paint job will not fix.

AFAIK it is. Tiburon series' product cycle was ended to make way for Genesis Coupe.

Genesis Coupe though, is WAAAAY too big an upgrade from Tibbie although similar in price.

    now between this two variant:

    3.8 V6 (manual) - 1.735M
    2.0 T (manual) - 1.654M

which would be the best buy?

    thanks!

I think its either the 2.0T base at 1.4M if you plan to modify or the 3.8 V6 M/T at 1.75M

Funny how this thread has changed to the Genesis Coupe thread

Anyway I still like the Tiburon/Coupe, but the difference between the cheapest Tiburon/Coupe and Genesis Coupe is P100,000, therefore I'd rather pay the extra P100,000 and go for the Genesis Coupe - however it's a Manual, which for me is bad news coz I'm a lazy ass driver who prefers Automatic

    right.

and to answer my question. the genesis coupe is not a replacement of the tiburon. there will be a replacement for the tiburon which will come out later next year. engine will be 1.6 and 2.0L turbo. size will be smaller than genesis coupe.

Heck. I'll take the V6 anytime. I'm sure forced induction mods will spring up for it.

The stock 4 banger turbo is slower than my lowly Sonata. To me, there's something not right when a sports coupe is slower than my mommy car.

As for Tibbie and Genesis Coupe, I saw a Genesis turbo next to a V6 Tibbie outside while my Sonata was in for an oil change. The V6 Genesis Coupe was in the showroom. They looked about the same size. Personally, I liked the rear end of the Genesis Coupe better. But, I thought the front end of the Tibbie looked better.
