yung HR manager nung previous company ko eh kinatok ang engine ng starex niya... 2000 model ata yun, well maintained sa casa, at opis-bahay lang... year 2001 nung kinatok ang engine... ni hindi rin ma-explain ng tiga casa bakit kinatok...

while yung sa officemate ko ngayon eh 1982 corolla... hangang ngayon ok na ok pa rin daw engine niya... ni top/full overhaul wala pa...

personally, seems like the hyundai are way behind the engines of the japanese engines when it comes to tibay...

yung katok baka sa .... poor quality ng gas...

the quality and durability of Hyundai engines have improved from way back. yung unang batch nung mga Starex, me mga rust problems, at kalampag. our units were from the first batch ('98). the rust had to be repaired. both are still running well until now.

perhaps overall when compared to the Japanese manufacturers, Hyundai may be trailing, but not far behind.

I'm not a starex owner pero lahat ng Starex na nasakyan ko, daming squeaks and/or kalampag. Labo rin ng A/T tranny kasi di makapag-decide kung saan gear papasok. Sa highway driving, laging downshift-upshift kahit constant naman ang speed.

Pansin ko lang maraming squeaks ang interior ng Starex kasi kung ano anong borloloy ang nilalagay ng mga owners. Stuffed toys, stick on note pads, etc. Parang pasko lagi sa loob. hehehe.

firstym ko n gamit sa highway simula ng pinagawa q, then nasa segunda ung gear, hindi na mameet ung maximum speed ng segunda nag rerevolution lng ung makina but hindi bumibilis ung takbo ,pag nilagay s tersera parang segunda lng ang takbo., pls help.
