i'm down to 5-6km/liter ngaun ah. nasa 320km pa lang ako pero palapit nasa 1/4th ang fuel gauge pointer. filled up 2 weeks ago * 62 liters.

is yours a diesel or the v6...if its the diesel....that is kinda low!!! for d v^...i think that should be normal...

it's crdi. kakainis na nga eh. pero all automatic naman gamit ko. di ako gano nag-manual mode ngaun kakatamad.

and lately, basta maluwag ng bahagya, I always find myself sa 80kph average. this car almost drives like my 1st gen CRV kasi eh ...

2 nights ago, I was in front of Meralco Ortigas. then medyo nanakit tyan ko tapos papunta kami sa may brookside at 12:30am to get something from in-laws. sa sobrang pagpigil ko sa sakit, tinakbo ko ng 6 minutes Meralco Ortigas to Brookside Cainta.

I used to having 6km/liter when my sorento was still new, as I was really pushing it, but right now I am in my 8km/l (most of the time city driving), as my adrenaline rush has already subsided...

regardless of how you drive...i think 5 to 6 is really kinda low for a 2.2 crdi....i've been getting around 8/ltr constant....

its either theres something wrong with how you computed...or theres something wrong with your car...have it checked....

may umaabot ba ng 12km/l dito sa fe nila na crdi during city driving?
sa mga bumili using inhouse installment plans, how much po interest pag 50% down and 2 years to pay sa CRDi?

highest i've gotten was 10 (drive to baguio)...pero hataw yon....probably if i stuck to 80kph...i would have hit over 12....but then again...who would want to drive dat slow going to baguio....baka makatulog ako!!!!

here's how I computed sir chuaa,

last time, I filled up full tank at 62 liters. trip meter A registered 480km during that refueling time before I reset it.

since the santa fe has a maximum of 75 liters full-tank, then I still have 13 liters left during that refueling time.

so 480km/62 liters = 7.7 km/liter lang ako last time.

now with the new 62 liters, nasa 350km pa lang ako, and i'm nearing the point na in the fuel gauge when I last refilled. kapag 62 liters ulit refill ko this week at only 350+km, malaki drop ito tsk tsk

to be sure and consistent....i always tell gas attendant to fill it up to the max....not automatic stop....

*Ehw953: kaya sir pero manual, just keep revs at 1,500rpm, tapos shift at 1,800rpm then stay below 100kph.


*chuaa: nakalagay sa manual, 10% of Biodiesel ang pwede sa SantaFe. so that's 7.5L of pure biodiesel on every fulltank.

*chong_ng: thanks, makabisita nga doon. Maganda sana yung katulad sa revo, pag apak mo ng brakes para mag-start, lock na agad.

thanks na activate na yong auto lock ko. free of charge kasi standard feature daw yon hindi lang daw na activate sa casa.

I've tried the biodiesel on mine. for a time i was worried that from 8 km/ltr it went down to 6++. (but with a heavy foot) so tried it with one fill up it hit 7.4km/ltr again with a heavy foot. (sarap kasi) so i guess it helped but still trying it out also with other gas stations. just to compare. But i've used bioactive with my crdi starex and it really has increased mileage. My kids use it to school so the driver drives that. and with a very heavy foot, it hits about 5.5 to 6 with biodiesel addtional .7 to 1 km per liter additional. so i guess not bad for 70 bucks. additional per fill.
