    Nope.

Check mo Sta.fe Gen 3 forums see na I was looking for SF DM kung hindi ka naniniwala legit ang sinasabi ko.

That is good kung new couplers last longer.

Sana lumabas sakit ng akin para mapalitan din. ;-)

BTW, my SF is not yet 3 years old.

2014 Model but August 2015 acquired. So technically wala pa talagang 3 years old.

we dont need flushing. flushing is only needed if you missed an oil change..

go for mineral if you really want the warranty which requires visits every 3 months. 25000 pesos per year? [emoji28]

outside warranty pwede na 2-3oil changes in a year. fs oil is required though. 5000-7500 per year

That's something to think about, so I will just have the flushing removed.

So where do you have your vehicle serviced?

I have a mechanic that does my oil change. I buy the filters and fluids from suppliers.

you can go to speedyfix (royal purple) or motechonline.com

Finally had my first PMS at i-Space Hyundai Calamba. they gave the lowest quotation without unecessary items such as engine flush, so I just paid for the motor oil and oil filter basically, they did the.necessary checks and even had a free car wash as the branch also has a detailing service. The service bay can be seen from the lounge and one can even go near the bay itself. The staff are pretty straightforward and very accommodating, they give you options but you can opt for only the services you need. The facility is still quite new and clean and very accessible especially for people from Laguna. All in all I paid 1825, so a good first experience from a dealership.

No they did not tell six months or 3 months they said at 5000 km, they were offering the undercoat but I opted out as they said this was recommended at the 20000 km pms but I have never read that in the manual

Do you know of any elantra owner who opted for the undercoat, kulang ba rustproofing ng hyundai?

Commercially available Nitrogen “generators” are not worth it. You need a machine like those they use at F1 to be able to give 100% nitrogen.

For some reason I cannot edit my post above:

Btw, AFAIK Hyundai uses electric power steering. Motor driven hence no power steering fluid.

Regarding coolant, RP casas advise change of coolant every 2 years. I always declined because I follow the "international" manual schedule. After almost 10 years nagpalit na ako ng coolant and to the surprise of my SA "malinis" pa yung coolant. I haven't had cooling issues. From 10 years, ngayon pa lang ako magchange every 2 years.

Nung nagpapalit sila, I found out that they use concentrated coolant and mix it with just tap water which is full of impurities. Yung ratio ng casa ko was 33:66 water as compared to Hyundai service manual of 40:60 water for tropical countries. I allowed them to flush with tap water, but I brought distilled water for the final coolant. I would rather trust schedule of international manual which was researched by the manufacturer. Next time I'll probably do it myself if I have a car ramp or bring extra distilled water even for flushing.

Best pangontra sa mga SA yung owner's manual talaga.

Yung sa 5x5 promo ng HARI kalokohan yung every 10k or 6 months spark plug replacement.

I do not trust dealers with this kind promos. These are not free but incorporated with the unit price. Tapos if you fail to strictly follow their terms you will lose the "benefit".

Parang hindi updated yang PMs sked sa 5x5. Siguro mismong dealer hindi susunod dyan. Sayang yung iridium spark plugs pag palitan agad.

Pero it’s their loss, libre naman sa owners.

Ako, I’m happy for the consumers sa promo na 5x5. If I need a Sta. Fe, I’ll buy one. This is a good buy. Sayang lang yung old Santa Fe ko, it has been very reliable and has comfy ride up to now.
