Not offered in the PMS, but anyways I had tools, 8mm nut driver and a philips #2. Way too many bees in the mountains.

I always follow the 5k rule on our 2017 Grand Starex. So far the warranty is still intact.

Hi fellow members, I am headed into my first PMS for a Hyundai Elantra I got from Hyundai Alabang. The following is their quotation although there are no details relayed by the SA:
Regular - 3800
Synthetic - 4300
Fully Synthetic - 5300
The SA said this was all in but he reckons it is just change oil and fuel filter. Are these rates reasonable or do I have to compare with other casa rates? Any recent experiences with Hyundai Alabang?
Usually i befriend the people who is providing me a service. Its not a good idea to scold them in front of many people. Parang sa restaurant lang yan sigawan mo yung cashier mamya duraan niyan ang pagkain na inorder mo.

my elantra has minimal problems. if i were you id get oil changes done outside the casa. save the money for repairs. the elantras have no recall whatsoever. extremely reliable.

That is nice to hear, so you just ditched the warranty? Anyway the second quotation I got was cheaper with the following items:
FULLY SYNTHETIC
Oil 4 liters - 2,720
Oil Filter - 397
Flushing - 400
Washer - 35
Total - 3,552
SEMI SYNTHETIC
Oil - 2000
Oil Filter - 397
Flushing - 400
Washer - 35
Total - 2,832
Are these rates reasonable? Do we need the flushing at this stage? Thanks for the advice.
I've been thinking the same way since I acquired my Santa Fe.
Pero nag weigh-in ako. I still intended to go with Casa.
You just have to be very careful.
Kung first timer ka, wag ka mag kunwaring walang alam, kasing lalong ka nila di-dikdikin sa service nila.
Ako kasi, I had very good experience na with owning a car na hindi casa maintained. I have 2000 Starex.
I know where to get ng mga materials na ginagamit sa casa and kung anu mga importante during PMS interval.
Initial quotation ko for 40k PMS ng santa fe ko was 25k pesos! WOWOWOWOW. ;-) Fully Synthetic Oil is around 6.4k. all the filters is 2times much expensive compare sa GoodGear / Fronte.
So ayun, pag sabi sakin sa quotation ko next question ko was, 'Pwede ba ako mag dala ng material sa labas?' They answered back with a YES.
So ayun, makaka tipid ako ng around 6k agad sa materials. Hindi pa kasama ang pag papa remove ng Complete Wash - 850 pesos, Wheel Alignment = 950, Engine Treatment = 830 pesos, Car care kit = 300, Bat testing = 160, Fuel Treatment 500.
From 25k naging mga 15k nalang yan. Not bad na since you still have the warranty plus dami na ginawa sa kotse mo.
Kasama pa sa work order dyan ay Change ng coolant = 800 pesos, Engine Flushing = 300, Brake fluide = 250, Brake cleaner = 300. Itong mga bagay na to kasi gusto ko ipagawa.
Thanks for these insights it will allow me to be wiser with my options but its quite clear that offhand you don't get your money's worth sa casa na supposedly should be the only option for new car owners. The disparity in price and quality of service as I have learned when I backread leaves a lot to be desired. Good thing we have options but we just have to think it over carefully.
mag dila anghel ka sana sir. Crossing my fingers sa Kamay at Paa. hehehe
One more thing sir, kaya pinili ko narin sa casa eh sobrang minimal pa alam kong mechanics and even me when it come sa mga computer boxes.
Watch out sa steering coupling issue.
The plastic part it self is very cheap but the labor is expensive.
I believe nasa 3k+ ang labor nito sa GoodGear/Fronte. Pa remove nalang kung bawal mabanggit.
Also, do not believe dun sa 5000km or 3 months.
Hindi totoo yang 3 months.
I just got a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe na ang last PMS nya is February 17, 2017
More than a year na hindi naka bisita sa casa 3k lang ang tinakbo since last PMS.
Went to Hyundai Sta.Rosa when I got the unit and scheduled and done na sa Free 23 check-up and found out that the rear shock absorbers are leaking na.
Asked for warranty, now it is approved. ;-) Schedule na sa Sabado 40k PMS + the new Rear Shock Absorbers. ;-)
