I'll wait for the ix25, new Tucson, and the Rush and compare them both to the Mobilio before making the next decision.

Any imminent equivalent offering from other companies?

I don't know how hyundai will slot the ix25 in if the size diff with the tucson is marginal. Price wise though it might work if 1M or less for the base model.

*CVT I'm also waiting for the Rush but there is little difference with the Avanza as my Indonesian friends say. I delayed my purchase of a subcompact due to the release of these mini suvs.

Right now, waiting eagerly for the new Tucson specially if they will offer a 2wd 6at diesel variant.

But interested to see how hari will position the ix25..

I still have my jitters on the DCT even from another manufacturer...

Not surprised about the Avanza-Rush similarity, both being Daihatsus....

The new Tucson will be priced near to the CRVs and RAV4s because it has grown bigger and will not be sold anymore bare (I.e. One airbag etc). The American market will make sure of this as Tucson has now become very popular, even became more popular when it''s the only model that supported the hit series Walking Dead

The is25 will compete with the ASX and XV, the upcoming HRV and CX3 but of course with bare amenities

This i20 cross is just an abomination coz in India, i20 is in the level of Maruti's Suzuki Swift. Put in a roof rack and bigger tires and then they will call it crossover. come' on Hyuundai Phils.

Up to now, no Asian car manufacturer can compete with the Ecosport because it's one of a kind. Chevrolet is the only carmaker that can match Ford with the Chevrolet Niva. The problem is Chevrolet Niva is made in the Russian market.

But The Mitsubishi Montero too was initially made only for the Russian and Eastern Europeean market but Mitsu Phils. took a big risk here and it paid off

The Chevrolet Niva may well rescue Chevy Phils. If they bring it here now that Spin and Sonic discontinuance is affecting their image. Since Covenant is HARi and HARI is Covenant din naman, why not bring it here to have a true contender to the Ecosport

perhaps the competition simply chooses not to compete..
perhaps they feel it is not worth the market share they are fighting over..

The question is, will they release the ix25 here? Given that they have the i20 cross and tucson already. Remember that they didnt release the i20 here, which was the getz replacement.
