Ang dami na ng GETZ
10-11km/l city driving. odo 3k+. Hindi ko pa na break-in ng husto.
*ozcity, wala na bang ibang picture?
Skeet,
Ilang km ang travel mo on a daily basis? Ako about 10 km (roundtrip) at ang fuel consumption ko is 8+/km!Pero on purely highway, I get about 16km/liter.
10km rountrip? di dapat mas matipid ka sa gas dahil malapit lang biyahe mo araw-araw.Originally Posted by ET1

hmmm engine baka EFI problem yan.. wonder how picanto fare.. kc kung ung basis to purchase this unit is to save gas.. mukhang hindi na meet... parang 1.6liters na sedan ang consumption nya like mazda3.
I have a M/T Picanto, and I can get around 12 km/L city, 20 km/L highway, with the aircon on (and I make no attempt to limit RPM to 2,000-3,000; i.e., accelerate whenever possible).Originally Posted by katsudon_ph
I wonder if the better power-to-weight ratio of the 1.1L Picanto vis-a-vis the 1.1L Getz has something to do with the relatively high fuel consumption of the Getz:
From the motioncars.com Car Chart:
Kia Picanto M/T: 64 bhp/5500 RPM, 852 kg curb weight = .075bhp/kg
Hyundai Getz M/T: 62 bhp/5500 RPM, 985 kg curb weight = .063bhp/kg
If above figures are accurate, then the Picanto M/T has a 20% advantage over the Getz in terms of power-to-weight ratio.
It should be noted that the 1.1L engine is currently the largest engine available for the Picanto (as there is a 3-cylinder 1.0L version available in Europe), while for the Getz, the 1.1L is the smallest engine size (may 1.5L pa yata). The 1.1L engine of the Getz has to work harder to pull the heavier vehicle than an equivalent engine in the Picanto, thus worsening fuel economy. I wonder what the fuel economy figures are the 1.3L M/T Getz?
same thing i've heard... the getz doesn't deliver what it's supposed to deliver.
the matrix 1.5L crdi might be a better performer overall thanks to the mountain of torque (245N-m) out of its turbo-diesel.
wierd kc same platform naman and shared some parts.. baka madaming parts ginamit sa getz kaya mas mabigat.
anyway kung 9km per liter ang getz eh mag 2nd hand honda hatchback na lng ako. same liter but spare cash for other uses.
No... the Getz is really a bigger car dimensions-wise (especially length). In the interior the difference is most obvious in the trunk area. In fact, even the wheelbases of the two vehicles are different.Originally Posted by katsudon_ph
Again, from Motioncars:
Picanto (LxWxH mm): 3495 x 1595 x 1480, wheelbase = 2370
Getz (LxWxH mm): 3810 x 1665 x 1495, wheelbase = 2455
that explain why. perhaps mas matipid cguro ung 1.5l or 1.3 m/t version nyan or labas na lng nila 1.5 crdi same with matrix crdi.. hehehe
mga owners ng hyundai getz baka gusto nyo mga buy ng original third brake light ng getz 1,200t lng po brand new 4quntity na lng natitira wala po sa casa nito sa pinas. ito po yung nasa likod ng rear windshield

Yesterday morning my wife inform me about the unusual sound from our Getz rear suspension, then agad dinala sa Hyundai Makati and it was found out that the rear strut causing the squecking sound as being describe by the asst. service manager I even talk to them thru phone and they told me that the left rear strut was ordered and it will take a month to have them available. I felt really sad over this suspension related problem for a Car less than a year, they even try some greasing activity on the suspension pero d nawala ang problema, ka-inis naman Korean Car talaga
You cant blame it all on it being a korean car, consider also the quality of roads we have here. Even major roads seem like an offroad course.
Our Japan CBU SUV also suffered from suspension related problems... hindi lang dahil Korean car eh ganyan na.Originally Posted by chris_d
