thing is.. despite the minor annoyance, type ko pa rin ang getz, over the likes of vios, sentra, and definitely over used sedans. Besides, no mechanical prob so far, just the tinny sounds noticeable only to driver/owner.

May nakasabay din ako na nag pa 1k pms pina check din nya yung ingay or takatak pag nadadaan sya sa humps/lubak. Mukhang marami-rami yata ang may ganito problema.

me naririnig din akong ganito dati, foundout na yung buckles (not sure sa term) ng seatbealts e tumatama sa plastic materials inside the car, esp yung sa likod. tried fastenning the seatbelts sa likod and the takatak was eliminated.

For us meron kaming dalang motor oil kaya P500plus lang binayad ni Mrs.,Tama si LOKI 3.3Liters ang inabot buti na lang 4 Liters dala nila kasi sa Specification on their website 2.15 liters lang. Dapat magdala na lang ng sariling gamit nxt time. So far based on our observation wala namang abnormalities yung Getz namin.

The only thing that worries us is the relaibilty of korean cars, but yet so far its doing good for us, although as the salesman says its tropicalized on their paint technology I think it could be better to install an electronic rustproofing gadgets just to evert such thing on the mechanical side naman better to have it checked on the casa. Anyway our agent from Hyundai Makati is following to us if we have abnormalities on the unit that we get from them,I admire it since they are so concern about it ,maybe they are also trailing our feedbacks on our discusion here in this thread. Anyway good luck to all GETZERS

in my case, i have yet to go back to the dealer. but according to ET1 on the tranny sound, an attachment part have to be replaced, the part will be arriving from korea...
ET1, was it resolved in your case? Did they replace that transmission attachment thing??

anyways, i'm really a little biased toward getz here, i would also be apprehensive otherwise (specially after learning of the probs)

Yup, the problem has been resolved. They said that the rubber on the transmission support is a bit soft.

i hope so too..

according to a service advisor whom i've talked to, the undesired sound is very common complaint here in PH, and they have already escalated the issue to Hyundai Korea with the recommendations on how it can be corrected based on the steps they have done to eliminate the knocking sound.

mine was already corrected 2 weeks ago.. i had it checked at Hyundai Binan during my 1st 5K PMS. the mechanic said that it's a vibration from the "support system" (i think he means transmission support).

Just yesterday my brougt our Getz to Hyundai Makati since they notice some Gas smell
,but it was found out tha due to gas overfilling after having it full tank. So far they didnt find anything abnormal to the system when they checked.

If may naririnig ka na, better bring it to your dealer na. Its better to err on the side of caution.

fellow getzer I've come across on my private message inbox on one Getzer seeking for some advice in his 1.1 Getz after having the 1st PMS as he mentioned, now having some strange sound from his engine he's using Shell semi-sythetic oil. In this case just go to the dealer and have it tuned. For me I'm using Mobil 1 0-40w for my car. Regarding the fog Lamps you can change the stock bulb to white halogen replaceme just look for the compatible sucket I will try to remember the specific bulb number
