had a problem the other week with my tucson, with the transmission becoming stuck at N (i couldn't shift to R)this happened several times so i brought it to hyundai las pinas, where it was fixed for free. malfunctioning break switch daw. i guess kahit na nakatapak na ko sa brakes, because of the malfunction, my tucson thought na di ako nakatapak.
nakakainis lang cause it took all day to fix (from 10am to 4pm). saka medyo nawalan ako ng confidence sa auto. and i drove an accord and a jazz for the past 13 years, and had exactly 1 major problem with these 2 cars (which honda fixed for free kahit na way past the warranty na). so medyo bad trip lang na in only 6 months i had as many problems na with my tucson.
still love it though!

February 12th, 2011 09:59 PM #3sana nga yung ipinalit nila na part ay redesigned na. kasi kung exact same part as the original, baka may design flaw tas after another 6 months or so bakit masira na naman

Kasi yung engine ng Tucson ko eh mag start lang kapag naka-step sa brakes.
Kung mag-malfunction yung brake switch, hindi mag-start yung Tucson ko.
Kasi kahit naka-step, hindi naman nag-activate.
Di talaga pwede sa Premium 'to

February 15th, 2011 11:19 AM #12Yan pala silbe ng brake switch. Sa Xtrail bawal mag shift from P if di ka naka apak sa break. Yun Q5 bawal mag shift from N pag di naka apak sa break which for me is weird. Neutral should be shiftable anytime for me.
