No issues so far in my 1 year and 3 mos old hatch.

Thank you *bloowolf and *andrewnathaniel for your replies to my lengthy post earlier. I thought I posted a reply to someone asking about the clicking question when releasing my clutch, but my post must have failed so here goes. My accent crdi hatch is practically brand new and yes i hear and feel that dull clicking when releasing the cluth after shifting gears. if others also have that then must be normal (or is it?).

May i know if there are still casas out there that allow the customers to bring their own oil? what are your trusted casas?

We bought our accent from Shaw less than a month ago and I was due for my first 1k PMS. After perusing this forum, i saw several freaky horror stories about the Shaw casa so i decided to go to Pasig instead. My SA quoted the following:

Php 4390 - fully synthetic oil
    Php 550 Filter
360 Misc (I came back to ask what the misc was for and according to the SA it is for car wash, vacuum, and "replacing lost fluids")
    Grand Total = 5290

Wow. Ok, so I realized it wasn't cheap to own a hyundai after all since i have to do this 4 times a year, plus the major checkup which costs 20k up according to the SA (after the 12th and 24th month). Fail and you void your warranty.

When our bill arrived the fully synthetic oil was Php 3390, making the grand total about Php 1000 cheaper. WHY? we asked the SA why it was cheaper than quoted. He said something about depreciation. Huh? My partner asks him again, "BAKIT ULIT MAS MURA YUNG BINAYARAN NAMIN SA QUINOTE MO?" His reply: Discounted (which wasn't indicated in the receipt) "Bakit discounted?" He says, "Ma'am my one price policy po kami." Huh? We were confused at this point. kung may one price policy hindi ba dapat sa umpisa palang sakto na yung quinote? We're guessing he knows the accent's oil capacity and knows the price of their HGMO by heart. So yeah, we still don't get it. Was this guy trying to pull one on us or am i just missing something here? Which casa can you suggest?

Nanlaki mata ko sa 4390php na price ng oil. Mas mahal pa sa motul 300v!
And after ng 1k na "discount" daw, napakamahal padin nun.

Sir, doon ako sa 1k discount nagtataka. hindi nakaindicate sa receipt yon. In other words it is not true. the only indicated discount is 52.04. Pero yung quotation ng SA a few hours before the final billing, ang price nya for the oil is Php 4390 as opposed to actual price of Php 3390 for 5 liters. Why in the world did he quote Php 4390 in the first place? We asked and asked but did not get a straight answer. We're hoping that someone would enlighten us as to why this happened. Do they normally overquote then charge less? If so, what could be the reason?

Expect it to be higher pay di na free labor. Mga casa iba-iba charge.

This has been posted here before. If you back read, the HGMO Fully Synthetic is made by a company called Amalie Oil Company in the US & imported by PRO Oil for Hyundai. It is not She'll Remula X. Hyundai haters are crawling out of the woodwork

Sir from what i know they use their own oil, HGMO. Plus, i have to say, a lot of people say that the HGMO is not as good as brands like motul etc but after the first PMS the accent performs better now. mas smooth yung hatak, hindi na masyadong hirap yung engine pag uphill. i can only imagine kung gano kaganda ang takbo nito using the best oil in the market. it truly was a pleasure to drive it yesterday!

As what the mechanic said, the oil that comes with the car when you bought it is the oil from Korea when shipped in, so most likely a break-in oil. If I were you, just keep your warranty till 20 or 30k & if you don't feel anything out of the ordinary, PMS mo na lang sa labas. Just be vigilant in your PMS & try to get tips from the mechanics. Don't listen to the Hyundai/HARI haters. They are just trying to make fun of you. The Hyundai's of before are so different from the ones that come out now with Peter Scheyer on the helm. Good luck!

Common sense will say that that Hyundai Casa will not put HGMO oil if it's of inferior quality. It would be their loss. Remember, the Hyundai cars have a 5-year/100k kms warranty to take take care of.
