Since I only logged about 7k kms per year, once a year ako nagpapalit ng oil then every 6mos, change oil filter ginagawa ko.
How often do I have to replace/do the following.
Coolant Change/Flushing - ???
Repack Bearing - ???
Manual Transmission Oil - ???
Fuel Filter - Every 20k?
Also do hyundai accent crdi needs tappet valve adjustment?
Pls Consult owner's manual.
Hyundai crdi engines are hydraulic lash. No need for manual tappet adjustment as far as I know.

Ako after 25k PMS, sa labas na. Itong 35k oil change, ako nalang gumawa using Zic Fully Synthetic. Bumili nalang ako ng gamit ko. It will pay for itself after 4-5 oil changes. Casa service is just too overpriced.

So long as you do the proper maintenance procedures, your hatch will be fine
5k - change oil filter & top up
10 k - change oil, oil filter, air filter (or clean), a/c filter, check & clean brake pads
20k - change fuel filter & water sensor
40k - change fluids (transaxle, radiator, brake, clutch, oil)
Doing each is all entirely up to your discretion. You may skip one or another, but you can't ignore it entirely.
Like if galing ka sa high speed tapos nag menor or brake then birit ulit.

I am very happy with mine so far. Before this, I would have sworn I would never own an automatic car. This changed my outlook. Downshifts, no problem. Almost imperceptible ang shifting nya even yun upshifts. Meron lang "hesitation" while waiting for boost to kick in. Otherwise it's very capable. The peak torque is very much within the "overtaking" speeds. Its so surprising how fast it can accelerate fro 100 to 170kph. I now have new-found respect for this little Korean bug. Did I mention it does all this consuming 5.2-6.6 liters per 100 km without being ridden like a baby (personal experience).
Si I finally got to replacing the wheels & tires of my hatch. As a habit of mine, whenever I replace the tires with a new set, I always have the alignment checked. Amazingly, after 15 months & 45k kms of use, the alignment, camber & caster were still all within specs. Koreans have upped the quality of manufacturing, ever since the Europeans started managing the business.
accent hb owners.
kamusta naman po ride niyo? any minor/major problems encountered?
share naman po kayo. hehehehe.
thank you.
I don't have one, but got the chance to drive one.
Cons:
For manual trans, the recoil of the clutch pedal is very annoyingly hard. Masyadong matigas / malakas yung "spring" ng clutch.
Seats (should be applicable to all variants) has poor lower back support.
Road noise is too high, esp on roads like edsa.
Not too comfy on rough roads, like most small cars.
For the price, just add a little more and you get a much bigger and comfier Altis / Elantra etc, but with gas engine.
Not sure about parts availability in the long run, there are rumors of a new accent.
Pros:
Hatchback variant is versatile.
Comfortable steering wheel (numb but comfy).
Fuel savings. A major +++++
Powerful engine. A major +++++
6 gears. Great for highway runs. +++
nice review sir! thanks a lot
this will help me decide on what to buy.
my only major step back ko lang on this accent is yung durability ng mga parts and kung easy to find replacements sa mga parts na masira if ever. other than that wala na. gusto ko na lahat![]()
sana nga may bagonglumabas na accent![]()
I was expecting the clutch to be as soft as the Vios' but it was surprisingly hard.
Try looking for "savagegeese" review on youtube. So far sa 1M price range, Corolla ata yung pinakasimple and easy to maintain.
Lumalabas ata (if i remember correctly) mas complicated ng onti ang layout ng hyundai / kia.
