Thanks bloowolf, I did tried different driving styles and different rpm/speed combo to find the optimum speed/rpm and I was surprised that the higher the rpm the more economical the engine gets, this is really the opposite of our other vehicle that I drive. I was even surprised when one time I was trying to break-in the Accent on Edsa, I maintained the gear at 3rd and seldom at 4th gear with an rpm between 1,800-2300 rpm, I was able to hit 4.7l/km. But when I try to go top gear (5th and 6th) and maintain low rpm (around 1,250rpm) I rarely get a really good FC.

I also noticed that the Accent CRDi manual vibrates easily and a lot under low rpm (ie. 3rd gear upwards at 1,250rpm-1,300rpm), is this normal? I might borrow or test dive another Accent CRDi manual and see if that is the norm for this vehicle. My reference are the other diesel engines I drive and have driven, I don't get to feel strong vibration on other vehicles unless the engine goes to extremely low rpm's. Have you guys noticed this?

1,250 rpm is too low. Konti na lang, lugging na yan. I usually cruise below 2,000 rpm.

1200-1300 rpm * 3rd gear?

Correction, if I go below 1,200 rpm at 3rd gear and up then that's the time I get to experience noticeable and stronger vibrations to the point where I can feel the engine lugging. I am now thinking that is the minimum rpm before engine lugging, but I may be wrong.

Anyway, do you think disregarding the suggested gear on ECO mode will save more fuel rather than using your own shifting style? I noticed that in ECO mode the computer wants you to shift every 2,000 rpm and surprisingly it does give you somewhat acceptable fuel economy, but have you tried shifting at lower rpm against the one suggested by the computer? Have you experienced better fuel economy?

Yes, you can still take back the reservation. However, based on experience minsan matagal pa maibabalik yung reservation sayo, but then again it can still depend on the dealer kung mabilis sila magbalik ng reservation.

You can always ask the dealer whatever that is directly or indirectly related to your purchase, specially yung freebies.

I noticed that too. Sa 3rd gear pinaka noticable. Ganyan din unit ko. Just shift at a higher rpm sir.

mas lalakas ang konsumo kung gumagaralgal ang makina pag shift dahil mababa rpm, kailangan ng drive train na mag build up ng torque so additional fuel is needed. just my opinion.

1,200-1300 rpm is way too low to shift up gears. Ang ECO shift guide is at 1,700 above. Your car will not have optimum momentum & will be struggling to keep up to speed to be fuel efficient. Aside from that, I'd be concerned of the wear & tear it will do to the engine.

I googled it since I haven't heard of it OBD2 Nitro and ECO modules-scam review. Meron na rin dito gumamit ng DP Chip. Increased torque & HP. Unfortunately, naging mausok yung sasakyan. Nung tinanggal yung chip, Dinna rin natanggal yung usok.

I saw the DCT Accent hatch displayed today. May slight differences. It seems like it has a DPF, the engine cover is different, it is still a disc-drum setup but is now ABS EBD.
