Meaning, kung ano brightness ng LED kapag nag-on ka ng park lights, same din yung brightness kapag nag-re-wire ka to function as DRL. Well, that's what i've been told. May nabasa ako sa audi forum yata, pwede nila i-adjust yung brightness ng LED at pwede nila i-on or off yung DRL function thru computer software and a special cable.
    Oops.. wrong reply.. :D

Do i still need to preheat for ten seconds? Car salesman didn't mention this.
Ako, i follow the manual din. Once pre-heat warning light goes off, i start the engine. warm up about 20 sec, and cool down for 1 min.

The salesman knows nothing about this.

Tama yung ibang tsikoteer natin, 10-20 secs warm up is enough. Kumbaga jogging lang muna then once naReach na nya yung normal operating temperature nya then Brooom.

    For your reference.

"Once you are safely in your parking spot, allow the car to idle for no more than 2 minutes. This time will be adequate for both the turbochargers speed to slow, and for the temperature not to increase in the engine compartment."

Anyway, none of us use our hatch to tow a trailer or drive it like a race car all the time. In my case, the slow speed in the village or when I am approaching my destination is adequate enough to cool down the turbo, but I still let it idle for a minute. Ma'm Hazel, don't skimp on your oil. Always use the fully or semi synth recommended for your car.

Thank you, *bloowolf. The car's been with us for just 3 days. Today i was stuck in horrid traffic. Car was idle for almost an hour. Does that mean that the turbo charger sustained some damage? Aaargh! How do we survive friday metro manila traffic then?

I was also told by the SA na some accent crdi automatics are 6 speed. Is there any truth on this? He also told me na kaya wala na crdi automatic is because papalitan na daw ng 7 speed automatic ang transmissions nito.

Also searched on the internet and some accents are 7 speed DCT.

Any enlightenments on this? Were looking kasi for a 1.6 L variant, kahit 2nd hand lang for metro manila use.

Unfortunately, traffic is something we all have to deal with in our country. Majority of the hatch owners here use theirs in the city & get stuck in traffic at least once a week but have had no major issues so far. One thing I read of & was advised by the Hyundai mechanic is to occasionally do an "Italian tune-up". This is by accelerating aggressively on an open stretch of road just to blow off soot accumulated.

That is interesting. Should be worth the wait if you still can. Did he mention how much it would cost?

*hazel but don't do the Italian tune up just yet. Your car is still in the breaking in period.

Nag ooff ba siya pag naka patay engine? Nabasa ko kasi pag naka kabit sa battery mismo kahit naka off engine naka on pa rin DRL and madadrain yung batt niya? TIA Sir!

Sabi niya, it would have the same pricing or worse, plus 50k.

Is it true na may 6 speed AT accent crdi sir?

Yung E variants na sumunod stripped down version at having mas mahal pa. Kung gagawin nilang 6 speed a/t, malamang mahigit 1M na. Tingnan mo na rin siguro yung Kia Carens 1.7 crdi kasi same engine pero mas full featured at mas malaki sya.

Cars of the 70's & 80's had thicker metal than cars of today, rare ang 4 wheel discs sa Jap cars. They also did not go as fast as the cars today.

It shuts off naman whenever i turn off the engine, May delay lang ng around 5 - 10 sec.

    Question lang mga bro,

Compatible na ba agad yung engine natin sa Euro 4 fuels, designed na ba dito yun? or may kailangan pa tayo iUpgrade para maging compatible?

Diba January 2016 daw implementation ng Euro 4 fuels dito satin.

    Thanks po

Pagkaka intindi ko lang, tinaggal nila yung DPF or de- tuned our hatch to conform with the high sulfur content of our diesel. So having a euro 4 diesel fuel won't affect our cars too much.
