Accent M/T CRD-i owners, pls post your average fuel consumption. I have heard from actual owners that they are getting more than 30KPL sa highway and high 20's naman sa city. Thanks again.

tingin ko malabo talaga yan claim na yan. we have a 1.5 M/T getz crdi, pero 15km/liter lang sya sa city, and 22-24 sa NLEX. considering smaller body pa ito sa accent.
C! Magazine were able to achieve that kind of fuel consumption. However, it is not clear whether it was mostly highway or mixed with some city.
Re: the attached pics
noticed that the showroom units has its towing hook (front right bumper) sticking out.
Nagbebenta pa ang HARI ng Accent? I thought the Accent and the Matrix were no longer being sold here because of their higher import prices.
Matrix isn't. Not sure about the Accent.
C! noted that the Getz does get poorer fuel consumption. Their theory is that this is due to poor engine mounts.
I tend to believe them. I've driven both the Getz and the Accent, and the Getz tends to shudder at low rpms. It seems the harmonic damping of the Getz's mounts are poorly matched to the engine.
I've heard of 20+ from provincial Accent owners in mixed driving. Anyway, 15 km/l in the city is darn awesome from 1.5 liters. Honda City owners get an average of 15-17 km/l in the city. But at least you're paying for diesel... not gas.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Niky, I didn't know that poor engine mounts tend to lead to poorer engine mounts. Anyway, my theory is that the Accent gets EPS while Getz doesn;t have EPS (electric power steering). EPS does help in the KPL department. We also have a 96 1.3 city and getting 15kpl in the city is very real.
Yup, diesel is much cheaper and the crd-i engines of hyundai are proven very reliable and fuel efficient.
oldblue, thanks for the feedback. I also heard from one who ply STAR toolways daily that he is getting around 35KPL in the highway with his Accent running at 80 to 100 kph. Mileage really depends on who is driving and how light his foot is during acceleration and shift points.![]()
