Don't get fooled in buying Hyundai. I've purchased one and it is with me for five months now. These car is low quality and accessories are the same as china made cars. The spare tire alone is a big disappoinment. Who in the right mind will sell a brand new car with a spare tire smaller than the four? You can find that only in Hyundai. I had a flat tire and I was terrified of how to bring the car to the nearest vulcanizing shop. I also found out that the spare tire's ream is so thin. Their service is not long term. Once you accidentally buy one it is goodbye and they don't care. The tires also are low quality and it won't even last for a year. Yes it is cheaper but you will be spending more in replacing the parts just in a year of purchase.
Investigate carefully the car before you purchase or else you will end up cursing yourself. Better to buy a Japanese car by adding a few thousands and you will have peace of mind.

What is your car model? We are interested to know about this, bro....

Agree with you to investigate the car fully (and carefully) before making a purchase. Read reviews and test drive.

Hi,

Getz have that spare tire, which is smaller that once you used it, you need to find a vulcanizing shop fast to put back the original tire.. as in parang tabingi pag nakakabit...

maybe the tire you mentioned is the donut tire. my kia carens is equipped with that kind of tire. They told me that european cars have this kind of spare tire.
The viosse 1.3 , dto my surprised is equipped with spare tire in steel rim instead of mags. at first i thought it was swapped by someone else until i verify with casa.

I guess we shouldn't even buy Audis and BMWs, huh? They don't even have spare tires.

Donut spares are common on many brand new cars. They're good enough to go around a hundred kilometers at 80 kilometers an hour. In fact, I bought one for my car to save trunk space after installing LPG.

As for the rest of your complaint... besides the small spare tire... what problems have you actually had with your Hyundai?

Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Of course I wasn't fooled dahil more than 1 year na SF ko at langis lang pinapalitan. Ang Fortuner ng brod-in-law ko na mas younger pa ng 3 months ke sa SF ko ay pinalitan na ng shocks at springs dahil matagtag. Hehe...japanese car pero magastus.

Didn't you confirm first with the casa as to what kind of spare tire your particular Hyundai carried, before even buying the unit?

I don't see the donut tire's size as a problem. Spares are not supposed to be used over extremely long distances, anyway. My spare tire is the same size as the rest of my tires, but I feel quite uncomfortable if I have to depend on it for longer than necessary.

JohnTad oh, my god.......

Sir, donut tire nga siguro yun. Paki-kodakan nga para makita namin dito sa Tsikot?

At sana, bago mo kinuha yung car mo, tiningnan mo muna lahat, pati accessories. Minsan pati nga jack, at iba pang freebies, pinakikita nila, bago mo makuha unit mo.

To the TS: you would have to post more info on your complaint so that we'd understand your sentiments, and perhaps be able to help you.

To ALL
: The TS made 5 posts as of this time and he's got nothing but complaints:

Make me curious on what the situation really is.

Not a real issue since that donut spare has been the standard for other car manufacturers. It saves costs, space and weight of having a full sized spare. Even I got a donut spare tire to replace my full sized spare to save space and weight from my car's trunk when I had the LPG system installed. The spare is safe to use for a long distance as long as you limit your speed to 80kph.

If having a donut spare is a big issue, you might as well cross out Mazda from your list because the Mazda3 also uses a donut spare.

wow! donut tire lang pala kino complain e . I too was hesitant when I first saw the donut tire, but it never stopped me from buying the carens. Sabi ko na lang, sana hindi umabot sa point na kailangan ko gamitin..hanggang ayun, one of my tires got busted and I had to use it. I traveled from makati to laguna nervous along the way, I even remembered reading in the manual not to run it above 80 kph (or was it 60?). E nakaka inip mag drive ng ganon kabagal so I said, what the heck.. i run it like I usually do, going beyond 100 topping at about 120 or more. the next day pa ko nakapag palit, after having another trip to my suking vulcanising shop.

The TS complained about cheap interior as well, if he meant plastic interiors then we should be cautious of GM, ford, chevy, honda and toyota too

Pero tama naman to be cautious of our purchases. kaya lang something is wrong with the TS' opening statement "Don't get fooled in buying Hyundai..". I wonder who fooled him? di ba it can only be that someone "fooled" him if he was made to believe something on the contrary. Specifically kung sinabi sa kanya na "real tire" yung spare tire nya when it's actually a donut tire. Im not sure but I bet that is not the case. The TS simply did not check this out for himself. So nobody "fooled" him but himself

umabot sa 2 pages ang thread na ito.. complaining about a donut tire
