Dear tsikoteers already owning local GS TCI MT 2016 or planning to, looking at this for own use next year as my first van. Would like to get your feedback on some/all of the ff:
    1. What made you decide, even though they are not fitted w/ airbag and abs? E.g. over the Nissan/Toyota/China makes in the same range.
    2. Dealer used, package offered, level of satisfaction
    3. How is it in city driving, ease wise (clutch/shifting), ability to keep up with stop-go traffic (low end torque) and manueverability (around visibility).
    4. How is it in hiway driving, safe merging/overtaking acceleration wise, and braking if fully loaded?
    5. How is it in uphills/torque e.g. Baguio and downhill control/braking with full load?
    6. What upgrades you put in from casa (fogs? head unit? rear camera?) or outside you felt was/ will be necessary?
    7. Ownership satisfaction so far on a scale 1-10.
    8. PMS cost and experience so far on a scale 1-10.
    Thanks!

Kung mahilig ka mag overtake at umakyat ng baguio mas magugustuhan mo crdi vgt model. Kahit ikarera mo pa paakyat ng baguio di ka mabibitin.

TCi ba walang aircon vents up to last row? Sa akin VGT meron kasi.

Btt: tci ung na test drive ko sa tito ko noon bago kami kumuha ng Starex. Nung una plano namin na tci lang but we end up getting CVX

Sa handling, parang kotse lang dala mo. No quarters given kung mga altis lang at civic kasabayan mo sa hiway man o sa city. Madali isingit (syempre nasa nagdradrive din) pero my wife does not find any difference driving the gs from her sorento or from our previous lancer. Sa una medyo maninibago ka kasi ang lapad pero pag sanay ka na ang daling pumina sa masikip. Also malaki side mirrors so kuha lahat.

Thanks for the inputs, bale tci mt po ba basis neto? Meron kasi tci at ng 2015 yata but wondering if the 5at gearing woul compare favorably vs the 5mt in torque to the wheels. Tia!

NOT TRUE. mas matipid ang crdi vgt kesa sa tci. Can tci beat 8.5 km/l city and 11 km/l hiway at 120kph average speed? If you hold it down to 100 kph you can even get as high as 12.5km/l with 9 passengers and a week worth of luggage.

Sir dct and sir yebo thanks for the info, so TCI has noticeable torque disadvantage to current toyota/ new nissan. Unfortunately kya TCI in mind dahil anlaki na ng cost jump 340k with just the crdi wgt mt or 470k for the vgt. Meron rin ba gray market TCI bnew below 1.458m m/t or a/t? Sabi kasi ng SA sa hyundai sta rosa wala na raw 2016 TCI a/t but di ko sure if she was right.

If that's the case, tci na nga. Not sure about the availability of transmission. Pero ok naman ang mt. Smooth yan

Agree. I am only doing 6-7 Km/L city driving and about 7.5-8.5Km/L hiway driving on our TCI A/T....

That is why I did not buy the VGT model,- because of such huge jump in cost.

At an average of 6Km/L for TCI and 8Km/L for VGT and diesel fuel at P26/L; assuming price difference between VGT and TCI is at P300,000

You will need to travel approx 277,000 Km to recoup the cost difference in terms of fuel consumption.

This is arguable as of course the resale price of the VGT is higher than the TCI for x% of the difference in cost. And of course, the VGT model has better drive and features.

So far, our TCI is only at 35KKm...
