April 25th, 2006 09:29 AM #1has anyone here tried changing their starex oem shocks to aftermarket gas shocks? did it improve the already smooth but soft ride? was the ride better or did the ride become stiff or matalbog?

I changed the shocks of my 1999 starex already. I got KYB gas shocks (P1,800/pair) in 2004, because 1) I found the original too soft and wavy, and 2) I wanted one that's more durable. Gas shocks are more stiff than the original, so if you want to keep that soft ride, just go for non-gas shocks. Maybe KYB also has that kind.

how was the ride? hindi ba matagtag? i wanted a stiffer ride but of course not too harsh or matigas like when you ride lowered cars. as long as it's still comfortable i would change to gas shocks.
This is an unfortunate situation
