Tama. Kasi after 1000 KMS check up mo nagloko nanaman yung Santa Fe.
I reported the problem 2 days after the first 1000k check-up and confirmed as per advised with the dealer’s technical supervisor during the test drive with him on both automatic and manual drive.

might be the diesel...
just a long shot, but I think seaoil sells euro 4 compliant diesel (or was it 5?)
could alleviate the problem if the dirty stuff is really doing things to the R dieselLast edited by scharnhorst; May 26th, 2010 at 12:33 AM.

Doc,
Which will make ng Sportage R more expensive.
Euro II R e-VGT engine ang ilalagay sa PH version ng Kia Sportage R.

Mukhang lemon nga. Write to HARI directly, meet the president if you can and demand that it be replaced with a new one.
Good luck.

May 27th, 2010 12:02 AM #15I'll give you an update re the tranny of my Sta Fe, I already picked-up my car and we made a test drive with the presence of the SA. Good news, I felt that the car is responsive as it was before and you cannot hear anymore the roaring engine before it changes to the next gear.
According to the SA, they only made scanning on the TCM but they were not able to update or reset the TCM yesterday which supposedly they should kaya lang late na raw nag-advise and HARI (meaning di pla talaga nagawa kahapon) kaya ginawa lang nila this morning. They were not able to change the ATF anymore and mukhang ok na sya, hoping tuloy tuloy na but I will observe pa rin to make sure na ok na talaga. According to them nagyayari din daw ito sa Tucson pero only rare case, kya lang nag-alangan sila because the software for Sta Fe is not available on their site and maybe they are not familiar yet.
My only problem na lang is the unwanted sound on the right front wheel but I believe they could easily solve it because lumalabas lang sya sa maliliit na tagtag pero pag malaking lubak wala naman (obvious sya pag dumaan ako sa Glorieta driveway basement parking). I planning to bring my car to the dealer for this problem next week once I'm really sure that the problem on the tranny is totally gone. Sabi nga nila one at a time.
Mga dude, thank you so much for your suggestions and for those who prayed that my transmission will be fix. Galing talaga ni Lord.
More power and God Bless You All!

this is not just a coincidence but i think there is really an inherent problem with the front right suspension. It's an unusually louder thump sounds from the front-right side that can be heard particularly after a "series" of fine bumps/potholes but not on a single or occasional bump.

Last Wednesday, I brought my SF to Hyundai E Rod for the 40,000kms PMS.
When I picked up the car yesterday, they said they could not see any problem sa suspension.
Nawala nga yong mga clunking noise pero there is still a slight hint that it is coming back when I tried to run over the reflector on the middle of the road yesterday although nabawasan na nga.
A new loud squeak at the front has developed lately. Naririnig ko 'to pag sagad maniobra ko tapos malulubak sya. I also reported this during the 40,000kms and sabi, they have just lubricated all suspension links.
Yesterday when I was at Mandaluyong looking for a house, nag maniobra ako. Sagad yong steering towards the left then yong right fron tire medyo sumampa sa drive way, ayon narinig ko nanaman yong loud squeak. The sound is like when you apply the break slightly and the break disc is wet. Ganon na ganon.
Babalik ko nga uli. Problem is my availability. I have office works even on Saturdays.

Has anyone of you tried buying or installing front bumper that's made in taiwan (yung...
