i have a very frustrating experience to share mga katsikoteer. yesterday, i got my unit, Tucson CRDi premium. This morning, i was in the service bay, with my 1-day old brand new car undergoing some dismantling... OH MY GOD! A 1-DAY OLD BRAND NEW CAR AND NOW IS BEING DISMANTLED!!! VERY FRUSTRATING!!! hindi ko pa nga nafe-feel ang brand new quality nung car, nasa gawaan na AGAD! parang natulog lang sa bahay!

anyway, know for what reason??? the fuel filter keeps on lighting (switched ON) because of certain amount of water (maybe amounting to a medium size glass, hay, madami yan ha...). so the technician decided to dismantle the fuel filter to drain it. ang sama ng loob ko makita yung kotse ko tinatanggalan ng mga bolts, huhuhu. but anyhow, that is needed.

here is the story. yesterday, i asked my agent to pick up the unit since i was busy on the time of the release. she said nagkarga siya ng 200pesos na diesel. i suspect, the water came from that diesel she put in the car.

WHAT I HAVE IN MIND IS THIS, i am planning, di muna ako magpapa-re-fuel. i will wait until almost empty na ang tank. i am thinking na papakiramdaman ko muna ang fuel sensor.

QUESTION PO: kapag na-empty yung fuel tank, without the sensor signalling any presence of water in the filter, does that mean WALA NA PONG TUBIG SA TANK? PLS GIVE ME SOME ADVICE. hope to hear your valuable opinion. thanks po.

sa casa? in-address naman po nila ang problema. what they did is, they take the filter and drained it. and then, they get more diesel galing sa kotse (taking it from the hose attached to the filter), and we see na medyo wala na nman ang tubig. unlike yung diesel na galing sa filter na sinalin sa bote ng C2, nakita namin talagang halos ay half diesel - half water.

Dont wait till your tank is empty. Just dont. When you were in the casa did the mechanic there completely drained your tank? I mean did he checked na wala na talagang tubig ang tangke? Wag mong hayaan maubos yung fuel mo sir. Dahil pag maubusan ka ng diesel you will be forced to purge the air inside the fuel lines, masakit na nga sa iyo na filter pa lang ang tinangal how much more pag tumirik yung sasakyan dahil nag ka air bound yung fuel lines and you need to purge the air out of the system? Just my .0002 cents HTH.

    Happy Motoring and drive safe

well thats the purpose of the fuel filter pag diesel, as you can notice it has a drain valve sa ilalim to drain water that was trapped in the filter. and at least na prove mo na gumagana yung sensor sa fuel filter. hehe

anyway i think no harm done naman sa engine mo yan, the filter did its thing to separate the water from the diesel

diesel with water???
