Accent and Elantra punches Hyundai's November figures by 40%

Shaped by Hyundai's radical “fluidic sculpture” design philosophy, the new Accent and Elantra were born to slug it out in the competitive sedan stage. But when Hyundai Asia Resources Inc.'s (HARI) November 2011 passenger car sales catapulted by 81%, it completely blew its rivals out of the water.

By fixing their supply issues, HARI was finally able to show what they're made of. On a year-on-year range, HARI's sales increased by 40% in November to 2,217 from 1,578 units - a 22% improvement over the previous month on the account of a 14% and 38% growth in the passenger car (PC) and light commercial vehicle (LCV) categories. HARI also beat the odds in the year's first 11 months by registering a 1% growth from 2010, besting the automotive industry's negative sales outlook in the wake of a slower GDP growth and natural calamities that hit Japan and Thailand....

The increase would've come a lot earlier sana. They could've achieved these numbers as early as June.

That's ironic. Sa engine problem ng 2011 Accent, I was expecting the opposite.

Ibig sabihin na ang mga bumibili ng sasakyan, kadamihan ay tumitingin sa panlabas na characteristics ng sasakyan. Ganda kasi tingnan ng Accent.

I beg to disagree...hindi porket nagandahan ka na eh agad agad na iyon na ang magiging batayan sa pagbili ser..mas informed at mas intellignt na ang mga buyers ngayon..maganda nga Accent at Elantra but looks alone will not be enough to push buyers into purchasing high ticket items like a new car..

on the other hand, baka di rin kasi nila (buyers) nabasa ang mga Accent "problems" dito sa forum..

    peace!

Tingin ko, dito lang sa tsikot na brought up ang issue ng Accent engine knock problem. Madami pa ang hindi nakakaalam nito.

Well maybe the people who have the engine knock should pay for a small article in one or two leading news papers then see what happens. without knowing the issues with the Accent (like most people dont really surf before buying) the package and the price of the accent is really good.

Besides once they put their personal experience in the news papers maybe HARI will start to pay attention to them or make them an offer they cant refuse for their silence... Nothing wrong with writing an article about your own personal experience right? ;)

By the way, I ask one SA in Hyundai dealership about the low power problem of Accent 1.4. According to him the new delivered batches of Accent reported no problem. How true is this?

Sa mga new owners: May knocking issue pa ba? TIA
