If it's exactly how you described it, no, it's not normal. My dad drives the new Tucson but I've never heard him complain about anything regarding body flex and creaking noises.

I would call up or write an email to Hyundai's QA department or something to that effect for a proper evaluation of your problem. DTI should be your last resort.

I also experienced this. went to hyundai las pinas to have it aligned, they fiddled with the door striker and pronounced it ok, but still it persisted whenever I open the driver's door with the IX not on flat ground. also I could hear the driver's door move because the rubber surrounding it would squeak on potholes, hyundai las pinas could not find a remedy for it. Disappointed that my new IX has problems, I took it upon myself na lang to fix it since I like to DIY. solved the squeaking rubber by applying armor-all all around the rubber, reapplying once a week and the squeak never came back as for aligning the doors, just followed what the casa did but made it over a period of time until I got it right, been several months and haven't heard the door scrape the striker but just recently I kind of felt it maybe the striker moved a bit or the body, I don't know. Just have to adjust it again.

guys, try ninyo pa check sa mga top class na body repair shops. some years ago, na wasak likod ng civic ko to the point that they had to stretch the entire body to align it. meron silang parang pang align na may measurements, etc.

BTW thanks for the quick reply
May problem na yan if hindi na aligned yung chassis, dapat na ma-check since safety concern din yan esp in cornering. Hindi normal yan na mangyayari if propery used yung ride at alam mo limits.

relative of ours selling Hyundai Tucson GLS Engine 2.0L DOHC for 680k. Is this a good buy? Anong FC nito? Not sure why they are selling pero di naman ako siguro ako lolokohin ng kamaganak

Normal ang ganyan sa unibody structure.

Pati sa Santa Fe nagkaka-ganyan din.

While generally true that ladder frame are better in these situations, CUV esp. the 3rd gen Forester has better chassis rigidity now.

In every rule, there's an exception ika nga so I am not really generalizing sir.

But for comparison of ladder frame vs unibody lang naman sa akin. Nothing against unibody chassis.
