Future mods planned when budget allows is a Disco Potato turbo setup, with planned WHP around 200, stock internals.

    How about you guys?

2.0L with a lightweight flywheel... hmmmm... how heavy is the Elantra again? That should be good for a flat-8 second 0-100 km/h... or maybe less (old 2.0 Coupe with Beta engine - 7.6)... hehe... bring that baby over to the EB... I'd like to see what it can do against the Lynx...

I've heard that even with just a 1.8 swap that Elantras are pretty decent drag cars... but can you swap in the Coupe suspension and steering?

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

AFAIK 1100 kg. It's not a light car, but with the torque of the 2.0 and the flywheel, it feels like a CRDi Getz (which is my only other car BTW).

Why swap in the Coupe suspension and steering components? What would be the point in that? It would bolt-on anyway; both of them are the same car underneath.

As for bringing my Elantra to any EB, I would like to have it painted first. But before it gets painted it must first be turbocharged. So, that may take a long time before I show it to people with pride.

Ah... turbo. RE: suspension: heard that they were the same, but wouldn't the Coupe's shocks and springs be stiffer? And I think the steering might be tighter, but I'm not sure.

Hehe... turbo, lots of friends going down that road... as for me, I'm satisfied with having a great handling car with just a bit of speed.

Kudos on your car! Pics naman pag tapos!

Well I think coilovers would have more an effect on handling than changing to a stock suspension. I have a set that is under repair.

Yeah will keep people up to date.

hi.... i'm a former elantra sedan owner [99 model].

those of you are looking for genuine parts may want to try and contact Piyeza.
they have branches in pasay, cavite, las pinas and and i think, cabuyao or calamba.
for las pinas, the number is 8712206.
from what i've seen, even the casas sometimes gets their parts from Piyeza.
    hope this helps.

hi otep at mga elantra owners:
My current ride is a mitsu lancer el 1993. I'm planning to replace it with an elantra wagon (1997-1999 yr models). Based on your experience of owning and maintaining the elantra, I would like to know your opinion if my plan is a good idea in terms of the maintenance cost, supply of parts, and performance. Thank you and best regards.

    As to parts and accessories...

Mine is elantra 1994 GLS sedan. So far, got no major complaints. But i'm planning to get new set of mags and tires... stock pa kasi. In the future, I also want to upgrade my audio system so that i can play my ipod. Kaso I have to save money pa hehe..

I recently got a 2nd hand Elantra Wagon Matic 2000 mdl. Ilang km/liter ba talaga ang dapat itakbo nito kapag city driving? at pag long drive?

5km/L lang ang inabot? well, thats's not normal. I had recently tested mine and i got 15km'L on hi-way and somewhere in the 12~13km/L city driving. 1.6DOHC 16 valve manual tranny ang sa akin. Sasabihin ko sana na you have your brakes checked, but I guess you've done that already at Servitek.. Hmmmm... Let's wait what the experts an say about your problem

Last time I checked my mileage, my car does 6km/l (2.0 M/T). Remember that A/T's generally suffer from less mileage than manuals, and that the wagon is heavier than the sedan and the Coupe. It can also be driving habits, coz mine clearly needs improvement on that front.

Hi to everyone, I own an elentra 99, i would like to inquire if you can recommend where to look for body parts & spare parts particularly the Hood, headlights, signal lights & radiator. Best if may surplus. Thank you in advance for the help.

Does anyone knows the contact number of Marriona Trading? I checked with PLDT they do not have any record.

    Thanks again.

We have an elantra A/T 1997 model and is still a good ride. recently though malabo na talaga headlights nya. san kaya mura bumili ng replacement?

You think kung kami ang maghahanap sa Banawe may makukuha kami? and do you have an idea on the cost? thanks ...i'm a newbie here

Hello po sa mga Hyundai elantra owners. I have an Elantra that's already 7 yers old ( nakuha ko sa francisco motors nung 2001 ) and so far okay pa siya. FC is between 9 and 10km/l and higher kung sa mga expressway. For parts, marami sa GOODGEAR sa Pasay ( tel # 8338382 ). Mura lang dito.
