While I agree that Hyundai here is expensive (I had a Hyundai before), please don't generalize. I have two Kias, a 2013 Soul 1.6 petrol and a 2014 Sorento CRDi, and the maintenance so far is very cheap. Same price or slightly cheaper than our Toyotas if you compare PMS receipts over km driven. Extra bonus na walang pila every time mag-PMS ako unlike sa Toyota usually may pila.

We're interested in the new Tucson. I haven't seen it in person yet, pero maganda reviews niya and it's quite a looker even in pictures and video. And it's the same R engine from before that makes 185 HP and 400 NM. Excellent engine. Pero kamusta naman maintenance ng Hyundai ngayon? Have they improved, especially pricing? I had an i10 5 years ago and its PMS cost was consistently more than our Altis! Tapos maarte pa sila sa maintenance schedule. Pucha, yung Soul ko nga naka 19" rims na which is outside of OEM spec (largest OEM is 18") and during my most recent PMS the service manager said it was totally fine. Walang angal.

I checked out the new tucson recently (saw the crdi unit) and i must say it looks so much improved compared to the 2nd gen model (used to own a 2010 tucson gl). I feel though that features could be better (not even a touch screen HU).

as for the maintenance cost, i think you can also try to bring it down when you bring your car in for service. the casas tend to include items that aren't really required (engine flushing, anti perforation, etc.) that drive the cost up. you can opt to remove the unnecessary items. yun lang, it's still not cheap even after, but bearable naman.

comparing to kia, i must say after sales of kia is much better. still own a hyundai (sonata) and a kia (sorento) now and i feel that the kia is somehow better built. happy with both cars but i think break muna ako from koreans if i decide to change. hehe

I was the 1st to get a 2016 Tucson crdi in Pasong Tamo, almost didnt get the unit from them (I didnt get in house financing and insurance), they wanted more money from me even after we already closed in terms and condition. Overall im satisfied with the Tucson, torque is amost like driving a 2.0 liter car, maybe even better, ride is just ok, interior is above average, overall driving experience is above average too.

The new Tucson is like buying a P500 hamburger in Johnny Rockets, Masarap oa din mga Bk, Mcdo big burgers pero P150 lang

Mukhang walang bibili neto, at 1.3M Others will consider Cx5, crv, rav4, Forester

I'm having 2nd thoughts with this new Tucson. Grabe ang Ganda niya parang Hindi Korean ang Gumawa, parang German car...

If priced right, the entry level cRdi Tucson can be a very good alternative sa mga upcoming ladder frames

Malaki Ito and of course crossiver, parang sportscar I-drive, hugs the road

Any review from 2016 GL gas users?

I think its bare, pero the lower cost, 1088k, keeps me thinking of buying one. Thanks in advance.

That's because they valued my opinion, juts. They stayed away.

Pero all this talk sbout ladder frame suvs, just becsme umay. Now here is a car that is crossover sportscars like diesel na widebody, this can beat the Montero if priced correctly.

Hyundai should rethink their strategies, they have a weapon here. Halos singlapad na ito ng Sants fe ko , actually this is a value car
