Hi guys, Tucson gas is PHP1,098,000.00 and Diesel = 1,348,000.00 (Price List)

the difference is a big 250,000 pesos.

    lets do the math.

250K is equal to 6250 liters of gas in my province(php40/L)

if say i average 120Liters per month then my 12mo ave. is 1,440 liters

6250/1440 is 4.3 years of gas for me if i opt for the gas version...

what are the advantage of buying the diesel version?

I think you should compare the 2.0 Gasoline GL A/T (1,188,000) to the 2.0 CRDI GL A/T (1,348,000) so the difference is just 160,000. Either way, I think these are good-value compact crossovers especially with 100,000 even 120,000 cash discount some dealers are offering. The gas GL A/T is even cheaper than some loaded sub-compact crossovers and compact sedans which have less engine power and cabin space.

I test drove both CRDI and the gas versions and I was very happy with the ride and NVH level. Off course the CRDI was very much powerful but I prefer the quietness of the gas engine whose power is just Ok for my needs. Just add 2-DIN touch screen audio system, camera, back-up sensors, keyless entry and alarm, tapos ma-enable pa yung wheel cruise control and audio controls, pwedeng pwede na.

    Good luck on your choice.

these are must haves for me:

    camera backup system
    keyless entry
    electronic start
mp3 SHUFFLE (our honda crv didn't have shuffle)
    cruise control
    on-board fc metering

i;ll go for diesel variant pag meron ng mga yan

Are the cash discounts currently at 100k+ on these? Getting the 2.0 crdi at the 1.2m range would be good [emoji4]

Exactly my beef after checking and test driving the car. GL variant is too bare. For a 1.3M car, I would have expected at least a keyless entry OEM or a passenger airbag. I'm still considering bec its the most affordable from the SUV DSLs out there... besides you can by acc to improve the state of its bareness.

Question is will it be a nightmare in maintenance... Thinking the new Honda Civic over this due to its amazing tech goodies but its no SUZ haaiz

What kind of marketing strategy has hyundai thought of, to think that the unit is merely 1.4m in which at this price point prospective buyers would be middle class consumers. No wonder why customers opt to look for other units that is well suited at that price range.

I know that their crdi engines are good, but come on HARI, stop your unreasonable pricing. Make dual airbag and OEM keyless entry standard across your SUV/CUV lineups.

i change my views on this car. it's an american car. it's too big to drive in Metro with big wheels. and since we have 3 hyundais, i know where this is going 5 years from now. dami siguro kalampag sa ilalim, better get those tank ladder suvs if you are for reliability re phil. roads

Hi Guys, my family is planning to buy the CRDI GL variant.
Any advise on buying?? which dealer offers the best after sales service, freebies etc...

Comparing this to a mazda CX 5 maxx. which would be a better buy considering fuel consumption(skyactive vs dieslel), overall features, reliability, service, etc.
    Thanks.

CRDI tucson would beat the cx 5 in terms of fuel consumption any day

How about the gas variant vs the crdi of the tucson? we were considering the GL crdi variant but it's about 150k more than the gas and the features are the same.

Also, like what was previously mentioned, sobrang bare na nung mga GL variant so we're also considering the GLS variant, but now may bagong variant na S which is now the top of the line model. Any one knows the differences?
    Thanks

Not sure about the gas variant, but knowing that it's 2.0 naturally aspirated, it should have the same fuel economy as honda crv and other similar cars.

All things considered, only thing that holds me back is Hyundai PH's dedication to provide better aftersales service.

Now I'm considering Montero Sport / Fortuner for long term use, as they both have better product support than Hyundai PH. Heck, Innova could be even a better proposition, even though it's still behind in tech and overly overpriced.

Thanks for your inputs sir. Disregarding their aftersales service, which variant would you choose?

Maybe the base AT should be enough, with auto lock and mirrors, and bluetooth audio.
