That's because the price is near the Honda Jazz already. Look at the Suzuki Swift before when it was priced around 800T also. It didn't sell well. Now that it's priced at 600T level it's finally moving.

I saw this just now outside Hyundai Alabang. Wasn't able to get a front shot. Pero ang liit niya. Nice colors though, parang sa bagong Altis na blue/gray tsaka yung silver maganda din. I noticed parang wala din siyang back-up sensors/camera.

was able to spend more time with it earlier. Its was the gas model AT. And people are right it is really overpriced. I read that all features are in all variants but the gas model does not have the push button ignition, no rear camera but it has a sensor (display unit). The interior was decent but i also thought that there were the orange accents but sa diesel lang. and trunk space was small. It just had bigger wheels but ground clearance is not that high though. I'm scratching this off my list not unless they bring this down to less than 800k

Nakakita na ko sa Mall. Okay naman build quality nya. Saw white color na may color blue na accent yung interior nya. Ang space parang sedan lang din.

Sa looks, parang hatchback na SUV. Hahaha. Yun siguro ang gusto iparating ng designer, hatchback pero SUV.

Sa pricing, talo talaga. 800-900k lang sa tingin ko ang dapat range ng pricing nito. I'd rather buy low variant of MU-X or Navarra.

mababang precio lang talaga ang kailangan para maakit ang prospective buyer na tingnan ang unit.

Ive seen this in Market market, wala talaga advantage, i think it's even lower ground clearance than the Sx4

Hyundai should rethink their strategies soon, naka-rebound na Jap cars.

Hyundai limits the models they sell in the Philippines. Sa Australia, they have Sonata diesel, Elantra hatchback diesel... My guess is third world models sold in India are the ones sold here.

I saw this earlier naka display sa SM Davao. It's a chic car. For me it looks better than the ecosport. And the interior and safety features are probably what is making this priced higher. My wife fell in love it. It will be hard to convince her that the Nissan NP300 4x2 Calibre EL is better.

This is an option for me pero heard that Hyundai will also bring in the Creta. Totoo kaya and magkano naman?

If they bring in the Creta, it will compete with the Tucson. The Creta is diesel while the HRV is Gasoline. So choosing between the 2, would depend on what you'd rather drive. A diesel or a gas.

Hyundai has too many competing compact suvs, i20 cross, creta, tucson.

Dapat ang ginawa na lang nila, remove the i20 cross, remove the swb sants fe

Then offer the creta is the most compact suv of all
    Tucson as mid-suv
Then the lwb santa fe as luxuury SUV to go head on with explorers, cx9

Price the gasoline creta at the origjnal intro price of current tucson with starting price of 999k
Just offer the crdi tucson at 1.3M to compete with gasoline cuvs like forester, vcrv, cx5
And offer the crdi lwb santa fe at 1.9M+. To complete with the 2.2M explorers, prado etc.

May panlaban na sila sa emerging compact suv market
The tucson May panlaban sila sa diesel ladder frame market like upcoming fort, montero, and existing mux, everest as well as cx5 , crv, : kasi huundai lang ang may compact suv na diesel
    Mas mura pa din

And may luxury sila thatcutthroats the other luxuries in its class, tapos LWB pa

Gulo ng utak ng hari, they can still beat the Japs if they want to,

I recall reading here in tsikot forums that the reason Korean cars are expensive is because the Gov't does not offer any tax incentives like that offered the Japanese. Pricing therefore cannot be competitive for Korean cars.

Hyundai is priced lower in Europe and in America. japanese cars here are overpriced.

The reason why Hyundai cant price it low now as before is because they grew too fast snd too big. Parang stock market bubble waiting to burst. All those employees, those dealerships thinking thst their previous success against the Japanese cars will be forever. problem is the Jap cars improved quality and didnt raise their prices that much.

In the Philippines, cars are overpriced. Hyundai are overpriced because the gov't does not give them tax perks. What success did did you mean? It's an uphill battle for Hyundai here since they couldn't overcome the consumer scepticism of their cars.
