In my opinion lang, my gs vgt's engine feels just right lang for the heavy body, acceleration is brisk although not phenomenal. The tci engine make do with 74 horsepower less and around 170nm of torque short, but with an equally heavybody. Now for me that screams under power. Although some swear that the tci engine is enough, I'll hold my judgment until i get to try a tci unit.

Susmiyo

Well, that's a good point. The CRDi GS's acceleration is great compared to the local competition. I think it's enough for the local conditions though.

I was able to take the Super Grandia of my friend up to about 140 kph on SLEX when it was brand new. Never tried flogging the aerodynamice brick past that though. The GS can go 50 kph more tho.

Not that I do not trust CVT and the TCi owners on the board who have taken their TCi GS units much farther that I have been, but it really is a case to case thing. Pa-test drive CVT

    Hahaha!

Bros.,- I don't blame you guys, if you do not trust me anymore....

Look at my perception of the "yosi window",- mali pala after all of these years. I went down just to verify with a HARI VGT unit here in the office,- iyon nga the small window is present on both sliding doors....

Now, let me try to remember what I've been smoking for the past 4-5 years.... :hysterical:

Bro.bratski,- in that respect, I can agree with you. I also drive the Gen4 TCi M/T of our company and am surprised by the response of the engine....para ngang kapos....lalo na sa low gear...

Well bro relativity issue naman yan. Di naman nakakabitin ang power ng 2.0L on the heavy '03 Camry body. Toyota low to mid end Torque made up for it IMO. Stock 15s still spin at sudden low speed jabs at the throttle so kaya naman ng engine.

Perhaps the only times nabitin ako were when i replaced the stock airbox with an open type - too much air, it didn't like - and when i was on 20s as in my avatar. Kaya naman ang 18s. Will not win drag races but is comfortable at mid to high speeds.

Shempre the 2.4 would have been better.

Was commenting about this when i had a chance to drive my bro's Camry, it's an 03 model 2.0g, naka 18's kasi yun and sa akyatan kinakapos.

I agree with you about the different torque specs for manual and matics, the previous gen3 crdi m/t has only 330nm of torque while the a/t 360nm. This is to compensate the power loss of the matic torque converter. Not familiar with the gen4 tci m/t and a/t though.
