    May i suggest to also change your regular gas station where you fill up. Madumi siguro underground tank nila. Hanap ka ng newly built gas station at dun ka pakarga ng diesel. Also kung may unioil or seaoil sa inyo, try to fill up with euro4 or euro3 diesel only. This will help a lot in keeping your gs' egr clean. And you can also have the egr blanked para wala na magbabara, gives more power at low revs and also better fuel economy.

    How do you blank the egr? Do we have to buy anything?

    You can use a 0.5-1.0 mm steel plate. Bili ka ng steel spatula or scraper, yun bang gamit ng mason o ng painter. Di pwede ang G.I. sheet malulusaw lang yun, need mo yung asero.

    3 methods for blocking egr:

    1. Block at the intake manifold (easier). Kung alam mo saan ang egr just locate the pipe from the egr going to the intake manifold. Alisin mo yung pipe, shape the plate so that it fits between the pipe flange and the intake manifold. After shaping the plate just slip it in between the pipe flange and the manifold, tighten the bolts and it's done.

    2. Block at exhaust manifold. Again locate the egr, remove egr completely and shape the steel plate as the same shape as the egr inlet flange. Bolt in place and it's done.

    3. Hanapin mo si zix888, pa-schedule ka sa kanya, bayad P1000. PM mo siya andito lang yun sa forum.

    Bro sa bigat ng paa ko, walang epekto sa fuel economy...

    Pero more power!!! nga....

    Yan ang dipa magawan ng paraan, kaya yung 2009 saka 2010 GS lang namin ang napablank, yung 2013 na EuroV di pwede, nagtitrigger ang check engine light

    Almost 1 1/2 year na ang GS namin, Nagbabasa na rin lang ako ng tips tungkol sa sasakyan namin. Fortunately di ko pa nararanasan ang mga problems na ito. Dun nga lang sa cousin ng father ko, yung mga Starex niya medyo di na gumagalaw because mali daw ang ginamit na engine oil tapos may ginawa pang iba kaya navoid ang warranty. Ang pinaka problema ko na lang siguro is yung pagpapaservice ko. Ang mahal masyado ng Change oil at nagagastos sa Preventive Maintenance. Sadya bang umaabot sa P10,000 to 15,000 sa Hyundai ang Service every 5000 km? Tapos bukod dun ubos pa ang oras ko. Manila kasi ako most of the time, inuusap pa ako ng father ko na ako magpaservice since may mga meetings siya. Since di pa bukas ang Hyundai Batangas City na service center, nakikisiksik ako sa Lipa City. Fuel Economy wala naman ako reklamo, napakatipid niya. Mabilis din ang andar niya and there were times na muntikan pa ako mahuli sa STAR Tollway ng Over speeding. Doesn't feel like driving a large car.

    Anong langis ang pinapalagay ninyo? Can you post a pic of the scanned service order so we can see what they charge you for? Baka naman fully synthetic ang nilalagay nila?

    Matagal na kasi akong di nagpapa-PMS sa casa para makabawas. Oil and filter with labor comes to about P3K.

    2009 to not the current gen. pasensya na kung off topic. gold crdi pala tong title hehe..

    anyway nagpalit kami ng fuel filter masubukan lang.. it turned out madumi na nga filter... with the new fuel filter ok naman takbo ng makina.. transmission kang problem.. d sya maka stay sa 2nd or 3rd gear.. kelangan keep the accelerator na naka diin..

    next week ipa dialysys ko. hopefully makuha at di na kailangan galawin yung transmission...

    after the dialysis..

    ok na ang shifting ng transmission... acceleration is there na... and nag hold ng maayos / shift up maayos kapag kailangan ang gears... di lang ako sure since di ko usually gamit to.. but i notice a delay in its shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear siguro yun... kailangan idiin ng husto accelerator para mag shift.. if not.. iniintay na mag rev ng medyo mataas (which takes some time) bago mag shift... ipina road test ko to sa usual na gumagamit ng unit.. di naman nya nabanggit na may ganun issue.. not sure kung regular lang yun.. o di lang nya napansin... o di lang nya na communicate sa akin...

    on the other hand.. napansin din yung parang may konting vibration sa makina (ramdam sa buong sasakyan inside) kapag nag start... and yung kung nasa low speed cruising... not sure if this is fuel injection related... pero kung mainit init na makina.. or tipong accelerating na... wala naman vibration na..

    not sure din kung paano ma diagnose... as of now.. gamit ko muna for continuous road testing para maglabasan ang mga issues (hopefully di naman ako itirik)...

    nung wednesday.. I had issues of hard starting nung nasa manila ako.. napa start ko pa din at surprisingly and fortunately naitakbo ko pa ng bulacan nung araw na yun.. pagdating sa bulakan doon na inabot ng issues... hirap mag start at kung mag start man ay namamatay din.. may usok pa lumalabas na puti .. napansin ko din as I was driving to bulakan kng wednesday na takes mnger time for it to shift up.. tipong kailangan ko pa idiin yung accelerator upto 4000rpm bago sya mag shift.. this wasnt the case earlier...

    napa check na.. and they zeroed in on the injectors.. 2 are scheduled to be repaired (may repair kit daw na nabibili) and the other 2 are set to be reconditioned... hopefully after this wala ng ibang issues... hopefully walang issue sa pistons / cylinder...

    naikabit na yung injectors.. 2 were reconditioned.. 2 had repair kits available so naayos.. so naikabit na.. so far mataas daw revolution... so most likely may bara talaga ang injectors before..

    so now.. ipa change oil uli... then yung other minor issues (aircon - freon leak it seems, aux fan ) madali na mapa check... hopefully okay na at magamit pa...

    nakaka 500kms na ako since injector repairs done.. so far wala na issues... yung nabanggit earlier na mukhang late shifting ng AT.. nung pina drive ko sa talagang user nito ganun daw talaga yun... makes me wonder... yung innova diesel ko na mukhang may late shifting issues din ay much better compared to this...

    all in all. ok na siguro ito...
