provided ng casa, inuwi ko yun gallon container ng hgmo, kaya nalaman ko gawa ng OWS oil, germany, yun fully syn naman pinakita nila yun hgmo container which is from amalie oil, usa, just remember pag magpapa service ka, patangal at inform mo sa SA na no additives, flushing, 1200 din yun. no need for oil additives especially sa fuel, no need for flushing bago pa ang engine. besides its better to use semi kasi 10 w40 para every 5 k palit bago, compare sa fully na 15w 50 na parang mineral lang na 20w -50, the thinner the oil the better protection against start up in the morning.
me caveat din sir kung hindi puno ang fuel tank kasi mas malaki ang space para mag-evaporate ang gas, which is very volatile. in essence, you're losing gas even though you're not using your car. mas malaki pa lalo ang effect nito pag nakabilad ang kotse mo sa initan.
take note din to deduct yung additional weight ng glass bottle ng 1 liter coke when you imagine the 20 pcs, which might also be substantial.
hi! just went over two showrooms of hyundai to check out the new elantra. i'm a prospective buyer and honestly, was impressed with the car inside and out.
however, when i was going through the car inch by inch to check on detailed finishes, i noticed that the paint job on the door sills (both left and right side of the car) wasn't quite perfect. the finish looked like some bubbles had formed on the topcoat. for those who already have their new elantras, can you check if your cars show the same paint finish?
i read in an internationa hyundai forum that this could be undercoating that managed to be applied continuously up to the doors sills. to my mind, this never should have reached and appeared on the side face of the car. one car on display had about an inch wide showing this, while another had about a centimeter wide -- so hindi standard. an undercoat should remain under the car right? i think hyundai just painted over it, and the result is quite unsightly.
i have a photo of this, although i cant find the upload photo button in here (sorry, newbie). might not be an issue for some, but those with a keen eye will not miss it. have told the hyundai reps about this so they can check on their fleet inventory, if all cars are finished the same. they said they will investigate it.

yes it does, but more space for fuel to linger means more evaporation, and the fuel reservoir have a breather and blow off valves if the pressure exceeds its limit. in this valves or breather is where your wasted gas will flow. and once ur fuel evaporated it will not condense again under normal circumstances. half tank is only advisable when going uphill. 20 litters of gas is not significant . its less than the weight of one passenger. it may be significant to those car that is under power. but for 1.6 and 1.8 . i think its not unless you race. and it is more significant to protect your tank against corrosion. and our fuel here are not so clean or certified that it is water free
for me, it makes more sense to fill my tank kasi it reduces the number of trips i have to make to the gas station. also, totoo na pag bukas ka ng bukas ng gas cap, sisingawan ka lang ng evap gas. also, a full tank does not necessarily make you use up more gas, kasi while it is true that you step on the gas more to push a heavier load, so do you need not to step on the pedal longer to carry your car to a stop. u count on momentum to do that.
rm molivar is right about the space for evaporation. and ur tank is more prone to corrosion kasi yun moisture always at the top. mostly ang metal ng inner tank ay raw steel, meaning no anti rust. your only anti rust protection is the fuel itself since it contains oil and additives againts rust.
Hi guys have anyone tried non E10 gasoline, they says that it performs better and more fuel efficient. I fill up uni oil quantum yesterday to try it. so far uni oil and jetti claims that their gas has no ethanol
Used to work for a company that sells a required equipment for all gas stations. We have independent stations requiring frequent maintenance compared to standardized big 3 stations (shell, petron, caltex).
On our analysis, they (not all) were using substandard gas sometimes mixing un-authorized additives which easts up the metal/plastic of the equipment. Example of these additives is a substance to make the unleaded smell and colored like a premium (then sold as premium). These will only work for a week or two and have to be renewed.
after learning this, I stopped fueling from independents. they maybe cheaper by 0.5 to 1 peso but not worth the risk for my car.
actualy is not about the cost of the gas but e10 yun problem, yun mga old car at motorcycle ng mga ahente and messenger ko nasisira yun fuel line nila at tumotope yun car. and these damage not only the fuel consumption but also the engine and its component. and besides the big 3 is not that 100 percent reliable. it always depends on the station itself, ihave 2 dealers ng gas station ng shell nakilala ko. they do but not always get their supply to some of the independent dealers when the supply is low and over price. and i have also a friend who is independent dealers get their supply from caltex.
