    Hyundai erod is where i bought my accent, this is where i primarily go for service, including the countless times i've been going back and forth to fix the knocking problem with no results for the last 8 months. Service here is really slow, and im not kidding when i say slow, many times i have to leave the car overnight, sometimes for 2-3 days fixing the same problem only to get it back the same if not worse conditon than before. Regarding hyundai greenhills, i think i have ranted it somewhere in the santa fe thread. Service in greenhills is much faster than erod maybe because its a smaller dealership with less paperworks. Heck, they dont even bother making a checklist for your car. But my real concern is their lack of professionalism. Ok heres the overview,I brought my SF to greenhills for an appointment service, got there only to find out there were no mechanics, never bothered to call me not to come. Then when i got home customer service dept calls me and says why i didnt come for the service appointment. WTF! Lastly regarding hyundai otis, sales personnel are way too ignorant and knows nothing about the cars they're selling. Also looks poorly managed like hyundai greenhills. On top of that there are a bunch of horror stories from bad service. Some from these forums, others from personal experiences of friends. Otis has a habit of overcharging pms.

    tanong lang po sa mga elantra owner kung may naka-experience na ba sa inyo na kapag start ng engine bigla syang mamamatay, parang nagpapalya sya tapos biglang bagsak ng rpm then patay yung engine, after 3rd and 4th try magstart naman yung engine and ok na ulit. twice na nangyari ito sa elantra ko last week and ngayong umaga. 11k odo reading and petron blaze 100 lang po ang kinakarga kong gasolina. any comment or advise? thanks!

    tanong lang po sa mga elantra owner kung na experience nyo na ba na kapag start ng engine parang palyado yung makina tapos babagsak yung rpm then mamamatay yung engine? after 3rd or 4th try ok na sya, magstart naman yung engine ng normal. 4x na nangyari sakin ito since nakuha ko unit last june.

    tanong ko lang po sa mga elantra owner kung naexperience nyo na ba na pag start nyo yung engine biglang magfla-fluctuate yung rpm below 500 then babalik sya sa normal, minsan naman bumabagsak naman rpm hanggang sa mamatay ang engine, 4x na yata nangyari ito since nakuha namin yung unit ng june. ano po kaya problem ng elantra ko?

    Your unit is 1.6 or 1.8 L? Subukan mo on muna ang ignition key one step below start position. wait till the warning sound of the seat belt stop then start the engine.

    1.8 po yung unit ko, ganun nga po yung ginagawa ko bago istart ang engine, hinihintay ko muna matapos yung warning sound ng seatbelt. 10k kilometer na po yung elantra katatapos lang ng pms, nagstart lang yung problem after 5k pms ko. sabi ng SA sakin baka sa spark plug ang problema pero nung pinalitan nila ganun pa din.

    After PMS nagkaproblema? Baka may nagalaw at maluwag na connector sa electrical wirings during PMS. Subukan mo check mga plugs & connectors, pag ayaw pa rin ibalik mo sa casa, kaso baka mahirap i-recreate ang scenario . So far sa akin wala ganyang experience, (knock on wood).

    maimaicomp.ask ko lang kung na fix na ung problem sa pag sstart ng engine.eto kc ung na eexperience ko right now sa 1.8 A/T GLS elantra ko.almost 4 mos pa lng sa akin ung unit.

    O nga! Horror stories indeed. Walk-in nga lang ako nun, tapos 5t kmcu lang, kaya ok lang. Although I overheard a customer complaining about the knock on his Accent. All the Service Manager could say was, sir try nyo mag higher octane, baka ma-solve na.

    With the Elantra, it's disconcerting to start the car and not feel it vibrate. Ilang beses ko nang napapagkamalang hindi tumuloy magstart. Nasanay ako sa diesel. Hehehe!

    hindi na po naulit yung problem ko sa hard starting, napansin ko kapag nakargahan ko ng unleaded ng shell nagkakaproblem engine ng elantra ko. sa ngayon petron blaze na lang palagi kong kinakarga. pero minsan pansin ko parang naglolow power yung engine pero hindi naman sha ganun kalala and tolerable pa naman. regarding sa transmission napansin ko din na umiinit nga yung sa may cupholder, parang nagoverheat nga siguro kasi pansin ko minsan parang delay yung pagshift ng gear kapag sobrang init na dun sa cupholder. ang main concern ko sa elantra ngayon is yung lagutok sa steering and left front wheel, kahit sa maliit na lubak dinig yung lagutok.

    Observe nyo muna sir. I use Caltex Silver sa Elantra 1.6 ok naman ako. I also don't like Shell Fuel Save Unleaded kasi parang ang hina ng hatak tapos wala rin naman improvement sa fuel consumption.

    ^ tahimik talaga gas engines ng hyundai nowadays. Kahit accent sobrang tahimik akala mo patay pa makina. Saang casa ka ba nag walk in?

    I plan to buy an Elantra 1.8 GLS A/T but no units on display to test drive. Based on their new brochure (Hyundai Alabang), 3 colors nalang available for the 1.8 GLS: Phantom Black, Clean Blue and Tomato Red. New units to arrive middle of February.

    HARI can't seem to get enough cars for eager buyers. It seems that supply problems this year are worse as there has been an increase on demand.

    Hi to all, I'm following this thread coz I'm quite interested with elantra hoping to get one soon. I just want to know is there issue on the built quality especially engine. I heard lot of issues with accent so I'm afraid elantra would be the same.

    Has someone here as well as the elantra club members discovered already some defects so far like knocking sound, cabin noise/vibration, weak suspension/parts, bad fuel consumption, etc. or is it quite early?

    I really fell in love with this car the first time I saw it in flesh and if ever I'll be getting the 1.6 A/T but it seems availability of which is quite bad.
