1.6L = better in city

Bought mine at hyundaiaccessorystore.com. Price there ok pero patay naman sa shipping & taxes here. Locally, wala pa ako nakita nagbebenta. Some ebay sellers naman are not authentic or originally designed for the 2011 Elantra.

Had my Sister's 1.8 GLS tinted yesterday. Super black all windows and rear windshield, medium black front windshield. Due to the rake of the front windshield, kahit medium black lang ng harap, di ka na kita. Perfect, coz she doesn't want to be seen, but she can't see as good. Hehehe!

Got to drive it for a few kms again. If you're used to heavy though very torquey diesels, stepping on this guy's gas the same way will make you smile. Hehehe! Contrary to other reviews, it seems to be rev happy ;)

Next up, horns. Pero kapag nakakuha na ng plates.

Depending on the temperament of the apprehending officer. They're sometimes very strict (baka gutom na din) in enforcing the "No Plate, No Travel Policy". Other times, they turn a blind eye. Chambahan din. Up to you if you want to deal with the hassle.

Hi Guys,

I have the 1.6 A/T Elantra..

Just some questions:

1. No autolock of doors at certain speed or when you step on the brakes. You guys have the same set-up?
2. You can only lock the doors (car engine running) if you lock inside first (using the lock all doors button), then you go out of the driver side door, then lock that door using another key (manual turning). I cannot use the button on the key. Same with you guys?
3. How much is the cost for installing car alarm integrate with the original key?
4. Nilagyan ng SA ng super dark tint (all glass), sobra labo kaya tinangal namin ni misis. I plan to have neutral installed. Sabi maganda raw un Platinum magic tint? 850Php. Ok n po ba ito or mas maganda 3M, magkano kaya?
5. I posted before installing a back-up camera, pero pag gabi mahirap gamitin kaya back up sensor na lang. Pano po pag intergrate nito sa reverse shift? gagana lang dapat pag naka reverse ka.
6. I ussually have the aircon set at the 70% cold level. Sa Elantra nu ba pag less tha 50% cold malamig na or is it just me?
7. Matigay din po ba pindutin ung horn nu? ang tigas kasi nung sakin, hirap ako pindutin with one finger! hehe

*Jackdripah:

1. You may need to have a Hyundai casa program this in. That was what I gathered from the GS. It might be the same with the Elantra.

2. Once the engine is running, or switched to On, (sometimes even in Acc), the buttons on the key will cease to function. A safety precaution so that you don't trigger any alarms/keyless or the like in the process.

3. Not sure about the cost of the alarm. I usually just get an alarm with a separate keychain.

4. Super dark tint on the front windshield is not for everyone. Platinum magic tint should set you back that much. It's cheaper than 3M, and some say lower quality than 3M, but for me, it's a good alternative. US made and scratchproof/fade proof na din siya. If you want an all black get up, medium black, which is about as dark as medium magic or magic neutral, will work for the Elantra. Di ka pa kita sa loob at most angles.

5. Back up sensors are tapped sa reverse light, so they turn on only when you shift in reverse.

6. Haven't observed this yet on my sister's 1.8 GLS. Limited drives pa lang ako dito. Hehe!

7. Di ko din napansin yung horn. Mas matigas kasi yung sa GS. At nakakainis pa yung stock horn, nakakahiya sa liit kaya hindi ko ginagamit.
