1.6 is more fuel efficient in city driving u save 200 cc of idle time especially in philippine traffic condition. while 1.8 is more fuel efficient on hi way, because of more powerful engine and the transmission can shift to high gear more faster than lesser power engine. average speed is 15 km/ h on city consumes around 7 km per liter. (1.8engine)

I think hindi naman. OEM Hyundai rims din kasi. Ganyan policy ng Honda, kapag OEM Honda rims din ang ilalagay mo, hindi void ang suspension warranty.

Totoo ba ito sir? Baka kasi claim nila bigger rims (17") was not intended for local elantra thus warranty will be voided - kahit sa states meron 17" na elantra.

dont worry on the warranty claims, you can put back the stock rims and tires if you have warranty claims. if you think much of the warranty you will wait for 3 or 5 years before you have your heart's desire on car mods. Sawa ka na sa car mo if you will wait that long, bottom line is nde mo maeenjoy ang gusto mong looks para sa car mo. Just go on with your mods sir worry less on warranty.

Ingat lang dito if you want to be technical about it. In the case of the Vios na Limited Edition (17" Rota GR-A), supposedly mavo-void yung warranty even if you replace it with other 17" rims. A casa went as far as saying even if you downgrade to the OEM 15" (say you wanted 15s lang), void na din warranty. Kalokohan IMO, but then that's them.

one thing thati dont like with elantra is the delay of throttle response in automatic transmission.when you step on it during overtaking, havent tried downshifting yet on shiftronicwhen overtaking

I've driven about 1200kms and I've really loved how well the elantra responds to when I depress the accelerator. I only depress the accelerator at until the tach reaches about 2k-2.5k rpm when overtaking and it responds well. I'm using the 1.6 A/T variant btw and I'm happy so far. Though I wish I could've gotten the 1.8GLS variant because of the more "cool" features.

On the Civic FD (2006 above) even if it's manual, meron pa rin delay. This is due to the Drive by wire system even on the manual units

can this be reprogram? so far we have 3 cars that is drive by wire but manual ok naman sila, the delay that im saying is in the transmission, when u step on it biglang taas rpm but ang engagement to the wheel power medyo delay, siguro nag aanalyze pa yun ecu

I have a 8th gen civic and it's the same thing. I think it's because of the drive by wire system on the newer cars. I'm getting my elantra on monday wewt! I'm not sure when our accent will arrive tho.
