2011 Hyundai Accent issues, problems in general

Ayos na yung wipers ko after replacing mine with other s920 stocks from sir xenon optics of tsikot. Cheaper than nwb banana wipers but almost same looks but lets see if the performance wil last long. Soft suspension din napansin ko sa accent ko when i had four passengers once, tumama yung ilalim ko sa humps. But it does not bother me much since dalawa lang naman kami madalas sa car. Did not experienced the knocking issue, i always use caltex gold. My fc is improving, now 11-13km/l at moderate to heavy manila traffic. Did not thought of the clock as an issue either. Overall, im satisfied.

Sorry to ponder more on black_ice' posts. It's not being insecure, more of sour graping. I know the feeling... mahirap kapag nakabili na na hindi ka naman fully decided na iyon na nga ang gusto mo. Everytime nakikita mo or naiisip iyong dapat na binili mo, you have to justify to yourself pa kung bakit hindi iyon ang binili mo.

For those cases, there's always the option to sell and although expensive, buy again. Mas madali kapag hindi mo iniisip ang mga ganyang bagay eh. Just my .02.

I can relate to that, just 2 months since acquiring my accent, i wanted to sell na and buy the tucson,fickle minded kasi ako and nung naglabasan mga issues i was about ready to give up. Pero buti narin hindi ko natuloy ibenta. Laki ng losses ko for sure. Kaya nga now talagang pinag iisipan ko na mabuti yung susunod na purchase ko para wala ng sisihan.

MROUTER
-issues from my accent so far

1. engine fuel knock (solved it by using shell unleaded *my opinion only)
2. rear shocks are too soft (sumasayad sa humps pag fully loaded)
3. door handles are sticky, parang naiiwan when pulled all the way out.
4. alarm shock sensor triggers by itself (crazy alarm)
5. no built-in clock (which I think is very important)
6. engine dieseling sound in the morning. it becomes better after a few minutes.
7. water easily enters the engine bay during washing. pag bukas ng hood basa agad cover nung fuse box, air filter cover, back side of head lights, water stays at the side of the above mentioned areas and most notably sa mga wires nung head lights (i find this very alarming).
8. material used for the fuel cover parang plastic. i have to personally open the fuel cover and remove the fuel cap when refueling in fear that gas boys are careless enough to break it.

when i made this entry i thought i was responding to the topic of the thread which ask for members to talk about general issues and problems of accent 2011.... and so i did.

-the clock for me is a big issue, because im used to check the time by looking at the dashboard and calculate my ETA. i guess a hard habbit to break.
-the plastic material im talking about is the main fuel access cover itself and not the fuel cap. most fuel caps today i know are made of plastic but the main access cover seems to be made of plastic or weak material. i have this feeling that if i leave some careless gas boy to open the cover all the way that it will break easily.

well these are issues i have with my accent (my intentions are clear and good) and does not mean it should be yours too. if you guys feel i'm making these things up then you can ask the mods to delete all my post since i cant remove them myself, not at this user level atleast.

I don't know how you define issue. But for me, it is something wrong that you did not expect. Having no clock should not be an issue because you should've noticed it before you bought the car. If it really is bothering you, then shouldnt have bought it in the first place. I didn't know people are that dumb these days...

when i bought the accent, i didn't realize it was missing a built-in clock until i was driving it for a few days. i just assumed every car has one. apparently i was wrong. even the clock found in the car stereo can not be considered built-in.

ganda talaga at may topic na ganito at least nakikita natin some cons ng hyundai accent w/c is na di maiiwasan kahit sa anong car.

gusto ko talaga ng new accent pero what if lumabas ang new model ng vios sana di ako magsisi in case accent kunin ko?

hello there sir sg, well even with the issues mentioned, the accent 2011 is still a great car and im very satisfied with its overall performance. even if i was given the chance to go back in time i would still buy the accent 2011 compared to the vios.

Sir bratski, sa dasma when I purchased my unit, I asked this engine knock kung paano naresolve. Sabi nung taga Hyundai eh nag reset "daw" sila ng ecu and advised owner to use higher octane gas. na solve naman daw. since naka higher octane ka na, baka kailangan mo na ng ecu reset? just a suggestion lang bro.

Sounds contrary to what my local Casa said today. Took the car in yday for it's 5k PMS and I elaborated the knock issue. After resetting said EMS/ECU they stated the knock's still there. They now plan to drain the "Shell Premium" gas I currently use and want to source gasoline from the city and re-fill with that and if noise goes away, they advise I go back to using "Shell Super Unleaded" ONLY. Other than that, I now manually lock each door before I step out being careful to lock the drivers side last or else I'm back to square one. Hope I don't have some crazy panic mode as there is no way I would be able to lock all doors that fast. I am also afraid to use my remote alarm since not only does it intermittently work, the moment I step away from the car the darn thing would go off. I do not know what causes it and I was told they would tone down the sensitivity. Will find out soon enough.

Did anyone catch the news the past few days which rated the 2011 Accent (seen as pictured on GMA news channel) as number four in the most carnapped vehicle in the Philippines? SUV's Tucson, Montero and Fortuner were top three on the list. I think it is flawed reporting given there's really not too many of these cars as of yet..certainly popular but the numbers don't add up. My .02 cents.

Pwede pa siguro kung yung crdi accent, kasi madami na nailabas niyan, pero sa 2011 Accent ewan ko lang, di naman siguro ganun kadami ng Accent 2011...
