2011 Hyundai Accent issues, problems in general

Nako knocking sound nga yan or "tope" in the vernacular. Kaya ganun kasi incomplete combustion ang engine dahil hindi maka adjust ang timing. Welcome to the club!!!! As of now wala pang solution ang hyundai dyan, sa mga bagong units ata wala ng ganyang problem kaso kailangan mapapalitan natin ang units natin. Which is highly unlikely.

Sir bratski, dinala ko sa hyundai greenhills ung unit ko, and they told me na ok na daw. wala na daw ung crackling sound... baka friday or saturday ko makuha kasi isinabay ko na sa insurance claim.. hoping na ok na nga...

sir kahit off ang aircon ko naririnig ko ung tunog basta aangat ng 2k rpm niya.. hindi namn wokwok sound. prang krrkkrrkkrrkkrkk na tuloy tuloy bsta umaangat ang rpm..parang may maluwag or something vibration sound..

Coupled with a "tik tik" CV joint sound, very annoying. Nilalakasan ko na lang sounds para wag ako mabad trip. I intend to have the ECU updated sa Euro2 sa 10K pms, sana wag mag low power.

hahaha. at may kasama pang hissing noise yan kagaya ng post ni makro... yung wokwok, wag naman sana. this started after the refill of shell premium to a different gas station, nearing empty na kasi. been using shell premium to a same station since nabili ko. mawala kaya knock pag pinadrain ko gas and fill again to my trusted station?

paktay!!! 4k pa lang may prob na pala accent ni esmi ko? ano ang benchmark ng low power, if hindi pa natanung ito? when shifting, while in between gears (first depression of the clutch, 2nd wala na) may metallic sound ako naririnig minsan.

#1 minsan talaga nawawala yung radio station, but usually nangyayari ito when i remove the hideous antenna, pag nandyan yung antenna wala naman problem sa reception.
#2 common ang static electricity sa cars, well at least in my case halos lahat ng cars ive owned or previously owned lagi akong na ground sa static electricity. Be it toyota, honda,ford and hyundai. In my accents case hindi pa naman, but possible na mangyari din.
At #3 swerte ka yan lang issues mo sa accent mo, in my case ive been hounded by knocking and low power problems ever since i bought my accent. Be thankful hehehe

Parang naging infamous ako nyan ah hehehe. Issue idol...hindi ko alam kung matutuwa ba ako maiiyak.

Guys, kanina nasa nissan/hyundai commonwelth ako. Meron silang programmer mismo doon to do the reflashing/ reprogramming of the ECUs of the accents. They can do it on the spot to fix the engine knock issue.

Since maganda yun fuel sa japan compared to ours, nagtotope yun most surplus engine kaya most of the time blaze nalang ginagawa na nagegine swap unless they know how to reprogram a ECU.

This explanation makes sense, pero dapat changes were made by HARI before the Accent was released locally. Sayang I was considering the accent hatch pa naman.

I am thinking that tuning the ECU will probably help with the knocking issue - kaso lang you have to wait until the warranty lapses hehe

While its true that gassing up on high octane fuel will solve the knocking problem of most OTHER engines, sa accent ko kahit naka Petron blaze na with 100 octane knocking galore parin

Low power issue will come along with the engine knock issue. Once the engine lock issue is resolved then the low power will be a thing of the past

Since all hyundai vehicles come from korea, their ECU programming is standard. They cant make special reprogramming done in their production line since this will mean delay on their global deliveries. They just gave the new configuration to HARI and let HARI be the one to teach their dealers how to reprogram the ECU. Im not sure if other dealership has a standby programmer to address this issue but im quite sure Hyundai QA has one too.

Guys,anyone in the forum has another MT car aside accent, honda or vios that they are driving? Im having a hard time to drive my MT accent parang nahihirapan sya ung biglang gagapang and high reving na maririnig mo sa ilalim. ok pa sya pag bagong labas sa bahay pero if nsa road ka na parang pagod pagod ung kotse. Just want to know if the same experience with your other cars.
