August 25th, 2011 11:44 PM #33Isa na ako sa bumili, after 3 weeks of waiting. I got my 1.4m/t bronze last Monday. My reservation was for the black pero isa lang ang allocated sa dealer. Fortunately, it was given to me although mine was not financing, mas prefer kasi ata ng dealers pag financing. Definitely I'm bothered by the knocking, hatak and suspension issues but I still bought it. Why? Primarily because of the accent's design and its affordability. So far, car is excellent. I tried kagad sa humps and di naman nag bottom out, even seated at the rear seats to feel the bounce pero acceptable naman. The engine, lakas nga ng hatak esp. pag pasok ng segunda. Coming from a full stop lang medyo ayaw kagad umarangkada. Over-all, i'm very satisfied. Medyo nagsasanay lang sa reverse shift, minsan sa primera pumapasok. I'm praying that the latest releases ng accent will be trouble-free. Tamang tama ito for the upcoming long weekend, joyride!

well, based on my own experience sir, definitely it will improve the riding comfort a lot. Isa kasi sa mga attributes of a bouncy a ride is because of a high tire side wall.
I changed my wheel set and tires into 50 series (195/50/R16). I could have gone into 40 series 17 inchers, pero daily driven yong car. Mataas ang maintenance cost ng 17 inchers, plus yong riding comfort would definitely be harsh & matatag, though it looks good naman.
With 16 inchers, I feel the car's handling improved a lot. Plus, you have a greater feel of the road, unlike nong naka 70 series, na halos walang steering feedback. Medio na-eliminate din yong pagiging maalon ng sasakyan.

IIRC they're with AVID. The reported numbers in the TG article are from CAMPI.
