Bro rbc.cerulean, ganyan din ang napapansin ko sa accent 1.4 AT ko na acquire namin last 11/10/11 at ang OD nya ay nasa 1.6K na. Maririnig mo talaga ang faint sa sound ng engine knock pag cold start, pero pag mainit na ang engine ( siguro pag nag circulate na ang engine oil nya) tahimik na ulit. Pero pag OC ka pipilitin mo talagang wala kang marining na engine knock (hehehe).
Meron kaming Mazda Power Van E2000 Gasoline. Simula ng bilhin namin nung 1997 pag cold start ang lakas ng engine knock (parang diesel engine ang tunog) nya pero nawawala din siya pag mainit na ang makina at hanggang ngayon eh ginagamit pa rin namin siya.
So sana ganun na lang ang mangyari sa Accent 1.4 AT ko faint engine knock at di siya mag low power.
Bro bratski, my unit is scheduled to have the ECM replacement tomorrow. it took almost a month and a half. I'm not sure if it has any bearing but i was informed that i'm already scheduled for replacement a day after i sent a formal complaint letter through an email to the higher management including the president and owner of Greenhills dealership. You may want to consider that option also because i'm pretty sure the higher management of the dealership is not that fully aware of this issues we have so kelangan cguro cla ma inform para cla mismo ang kumalampag sa mga tao nla and HARI to resolve this asap through ECM replacement. I was even called up by their VP for aftersales to inform me that i'm already scheduled for replacement tomorrow and he'll personally supervise it. Hopefully i could provide good feedback after the replacement.

Buti ka pa papalitan narin. Nag email narin ako sa HARI yesterday and may reply na sila. Kinuha contact numbers ko at babalikan daw ako. Sana maka expect din ako ng calls na ready na yung ecm replacement ko. Wishful thinking. Ill probably give them till the end of the month kung wala pang action i guess suing them is the only alternative. Nung nag email ka pala sa owners ng greenhills gaano katagal bago naaksyunan?
Nakaaway ko yang SA dyan sa greenhills dahil sa kapalpakan nila, this time hindi accent ang pina service ko. Sinabi ko im never going back there again. And if given the chance, bibilhin ko yang hyundai greenhills na yan just to fire those people.

*jayrb, provide us updates please. para sa mga nakaka experience ng knock / low power. bakit di na lang magpadala ang HARI ng substantial numbers ng ECU / ECM part para madali sa mga accent owners na may said problems?

nag-search ako sa net so far wala ako nakikita na complaints about engine knock.
kung ako lang ay maraming resources (money), idedemanda ko talaga ang HARI. kasi ayaw na nga nila mag-recall, diretso pa rin sila sa pagbenta ng accent units nila. napakagahaman naman nila! wala ba gusto magreklamo sa mga media outlets tulad ng TV at radio?
grabe ka palang magalit sir bratski....hahaha. pwede ba kitang gawing reference sa demand letter na padadala ko sa HARI para lalo silang magulat? this saturday i'm planning to meet Service Manager at GM ng dealer ko. in my case, napalitan na ecm ko, pero may low power pa din ang kotse ko, mine is M/T. kaya kung palpak uli ang gagawin nilang replacement i'm sure lalo na silang malulugi, and the owners as well sa pabalikbalik at abala. kaya dapat talaga sigurado na sila sa gagawin nilang resolution.
Not everyone has time and money to spare para sa demandahan. Ako for one wala akong panahon mag attend ng court hearings. Besides nasa Pilipinas tayo. Pera pera lang ang katapat ng justice system natin. Pag nag drag yang mga cases na yan malamang mas mahal pa sa unit cost ng accent gagastusin, so not worth it. Tsaka ang binabangga natin malaking corporation, kung paubusan ng pera ako pa mauna maubusan kaysa sila. The only positve outcome i can see from this is publicity. Dyan sila masisira kaya magkakaron ng settlement out of court.

Tapos last month nagkaproblema santa fe ko dahil nagbara egr and nag low power, nagpa schedule ako ng service and pagdating ko sinabi lang sakin na walang ni-isang pumasok na technician/mechanic dahil christmas party daw the night before. Tapos yung lecheng SA na yun nung may dumating na vehicle ng celebrity/basketball player inasikaso agad at pina deretso sa work area. Talagang nag high blood ako at umalis nalang kaysa na may magawa pako dun sa SA na yun. Mag papasko pa naman baka ma precinto pa ako. Patong patong na kasi. Tapos later tumatawag crm ng greenhills asking me why i didnt bring my unit for appointment...WTF?!!!
Sobrang unprofessional na sila at uncoordinated pa. Somehow my mesages got to the upper management ng greenhills and nag sosorry bigla yung P&$5-!($ SA na yun. Kaya ako im never buying hyundai again. Maganda nga yung products nila bulok naman service. Sa hyundai erod ganun din, napakabagal pag pms and service, samantalang wala naman gaano nagpapagawa dun.

sir bratski kala ko dito lang sa dealer ko ang palpak ang service..(souther luzon) wala pa naman hubby ko ako lahat sumasalo ng problema ng accent...sa car wala ko problema so far sa hatak nya..may dent kasi sya kaya pinasok ko sa casa tapos alam kong ginamit nila dahil nadagdagan ang mga scratches at yung mileage went up..syempre walang umamin..wag daw ako magworry dahil lalabas yung car na flawless..but up to now di pa tapos..gusto ko na nga sumugod sa bigboss nila.. :-(

Glad to see they have been investing their time to resolving the knock issue... wait this if for the Genesis did it have knock issues coz all i've been reading is about the Accent?! I would really like to see this happen for the Accent for the sake of those of you that have been dealing with the issues. I just find it a bit sarcastic on their end to be boasting of this while not recognizing and resolving the issue of the local Accent. But who knows, maybe this is the sign that they have somehow figured out what is wrong.... cross your fingers.
OT: who copied who? the ford fusion or the hyundai facelifted models? They have the same frontage...
