2011 Accent AT - Engine Knock!

Pansin ko din yung unit niya is MT.
IMO I think the sound can be heard at different speeds.

It depends on the rpm and the amount of weight the engine is carrying.

i think thats exactly right. in my case hindi mo maririnig yung knock pag low speed pero pag nsa slex nko and running between 70 and up andun na sya. very frustating!

anu na ba resulta sa ibang nag pa check ng problem na to? any hope? sa dami ng nag reklamo sa auotng to kelangan ng mag recall ng hyundai leche.

AFAIK isa pa lang yung naka 1.6 Accent blue dito na nagpost sa tsikot.
Pero sa fb page, there is one owner there of a 1.6 Accent blue... sabi niya ala daw issue yung unit niya.

That's good to hear. However, that engine knock issue should not be present - whatever kind of fuel here sa Pinas ang gamitin... Kasi yung iba naman na sasakyan hindi ganyan e. I hope you guys get it fixed...

Dami din apektadong sasakyan (knocking) dulot ng kalidad ng ating petrolyo.

I think it has been posted on this thread before, backread ka lang. Even subaru cars were also mentioned there...
More often than not, its because of unreliable gasoline stations, so as advised by some experienced posters here, choose where you gas up your cars...

Up until now now di padin natin alam kung gas quality issue itong sa Accent, since there are a lot of things that can cause knocking.

Guys yung kina kakatakutan kung mangyari sa accent ko dumating na! after 5k odo naririnig ko na yung knocking sound. Pansin ko everytime na umabot sa 70 up yung takbo ko nag na-nock n sya, very obvious yung sound kahit nka radio on ako.

if you guys remember ako yung isa sa mga nagsasabi na walang problema yung auto ko, i've tried shell unleaded, petron unleaded and caltex unleaded before wala talaga akong naririnig and then suddenly after 5k of running meron na even when im using xcs which am always using meron pa din. at tama nga yung sinasabi ng iba nakaka irita sya.

it kinda odd na late sya nag knock or may ganun talaga? for those of you who already have a solution, kindly share it to me please. kung sang casa at kung anu ginawa nila. sorry guys no time to backread sobrang busy sa work this time kaya hindi nko nakakapag forum.

I had engine knock even before my 1k PMS and it wasnt fixed nung dunala ko for 1k PMS yung unit ko so what I did was I switched to Shell Vpower and the engine knock went away. Nireklamo ko yung engine knock again on my 5K PMS and they reprogrammed the ECU which resulted to loss of HP. I took it back and they reprogrammed the ECU for different settings and the HP went back to normal and the engine knock is gone..hopefully for good.

Sa Hyundai Manila Bay ko dinala yung unit ko.

Sir, nag knock ba uli nung 5k ka na and vpower gamit mo?
Ako sa hyundai erod nagpapa service and suko na sila kakabalik balik ko. To think iisa ang owner ng manila bay and erod pero sayo naayos.

Maybe its a mix of several factors. Sobrang dami lang naapektuhan na kahit hindi ako owner, na-frustrate rin ako para sa mga apektado.

Anyways, if its the fault of the petrol here in the Phils, or some other reason - I hope it gets fixed for all those affected.

before my 5k PMS I have to use Vpower para hindi mag knock yng engine ko pero after my 5K PMS (the 2nd ECU reprogram) I switched back to shell unleaded.

try mo rin dalhin before your 10 K PMS kasi bka hindi maganda yung effect nung knock sa engine. It should be a warranty claim so I dont think na may kailangan ka bayaran. look for arnold of hyundai manila bay.

nope..nireprogram nila yung ECU for the 2nd time and the HP went back to normal so I switched back to Shell Unleaded.kasi yun ang inadvise sakin nung SA. Its been more than a month and so far so good. No engine knock.

This maybe our best chance to hear from them!!!
