Brod, isa ako sa nagdala ng unit ko dun about that knocking issue. Ni reset ang ECU, nawala nga, even now, yung2nd gear lang ang problema ko, may delay ng 4 seconds bago humatak. tsaka recently, may whistle sound yung engine, parang yung sa Truck ng army ang tunog? may ganto rin ba kayo mag ka accent?
Bro actually yung 4 seconds na delay sa second gear, yun na bale yung low power na tinatawag e, pansinin mo, pag nag humps ka tapos mabagal takbo mo syempre, minsan nahihirapan ituloy ng second gear yung andar mo after the humps, tutuloy naman after 4 seconds pero parang walang continuity yng acceleration mo kaya minsan gnagawa ko nag priprimera pa ako, pero pag diretso takbo ko sa highway, hindi naman siya nag lolowpower, usually lang talaga sa mga instance na kailangan mo magbagal tapos didiretso uli lumalabas yung problema. Yung sa truck ng army parang wala akong ganun na naririnig
Yung sa army trucks AFAIK kaya ganun yung tunog ng truck nila, ay dahil dun sa nakalagay sa tip ng muffler nila at hindi galing dun sa engine, pansin niyo ba may parang swing type cap yung dulo...
Easiest way to reset ng ecu, tanggalin mo negative terminal ng battery, wait half hour or buong magdamag para sure. Tapos kabit uli yung negative. Voila!! Sa casa naman may kinakabit sila sa ecu na laptop or pc. Yung kabitan usually below the steering wheel or glove compartment. They can either reset or reprogram the ecu to new settings/parameters
Sharing info might help others with knocking issue. My unit white 1.4 AT. Odo 4300km. Got it last march 30, Initially i thought i was not affected since knocking noise is very faint. After reading complaints here i checked and researched about it and apparently my unit has knocking issue too. Noise sounds like you have marbles inside the engine when feathering gas pedal with 1000 to 2000rpm range. Since casa's dont have solution yet i just tried to ignore it. Last week got a chance to joyride a bit at slex. Road was clear and got the chance to drive fast. Tried to keep it at 160kph as long as i could. After that run i noticed the engine knock issue is not manifesting anymore. So far up to now been observing the car closely so far so good. Maybe the others could try and hopefully that solves their engine knock issue too. By the way i used caltex silver during that highway run. Caltex gives better pull than shell unleaded although fuel consumption wise shell lasts longer.
Probably nag clear yung knocking kasi tanggal mga carbon deposit buildup when you ran your accent at that speed. But once you go back to city driving, there will again be a build up of the deposits maybe knocking will resume. I could be wrong though.
Sir can you post your findings long term? Say after another thousand kms city driving if the knocking returns.

saka this pass few days parang lumakas ako sa gasolina last time 8.5/100 Liters lang lagi FC ko sa odometer ngaun 9.1-9.6 nadi ko alam kung bumilis lang ako mag drive mas madiin umapak or what haist!

I don't think carbon deposits ang culprit nitong engine knock. Kasi if carbon deposits, in my own opinion, althroughout RPM level, lalabas yong knock/ping. Ito, lalabas lang on mid 1500-2000RPM.
And by the way, Im using petron XCS right now for testing purposes. I can't seem to find any knock/ping on the engine. Still testing though...
After a full tank of XCS, I might dive in into a petron xtra unleaded fuel, para matest ng husto.

My first gas refill was with Shell but since my SA told me Total is ok too (there's an ELF logo on the dealer's plate by the way, and I know the company for quite a long time because my uncle works there for more than 10 years already), so I tried Total Unleaded... So far so good. No engine knock.
Been refilling there for 3 times already.
what fuel class does not use ethanol? Baka pwd rin nating subukan para macompare natin resulta ng combustion performance ng accent.
Kasi initially CASAs would recommend to go to higher octane/RON fuels to temporarily solve the issue. It did ease the knocking on some units, but some didn't solved the issue at all.
ah ok sir. Correct me if I am wrong, pero sa pagkakaalam ko, some engines leave carbon deposits on high octane fuels due to fuel not burnt properly, however some high performance engines require high octane/RON ratings to avoid preignition. Baka lalong lumala ang knocking ng engine. But anyway it's worth a try.
Well my unit is using XCS right now, and I don't seem to hear any pinging/knocking on the engine esp. when the engine is between 1500-2000RPM.
I'll try using Petron Unleaded para masulit na ang testing for the benifit of everybody. Kasi I don't have any problems with any shell fuels from unleaded to v-power.
