Sa mga Hyundai Accent owners, natry nyo po ba irecord ang sound? Marami po sa youtube na engine noise pero mga old Accent yun. Kasi sa mga baguhan na katulad ko, di ko po alam ano tunog ng engine knock. hehe. Kasi yung Nissan namin kahit old na wala po siyang tunog na kakaiba. And since luma na po iyun, wala po kaming point of reference (for comparison). Thanks.

Had an early morning drive kanina. Sarap talaga pag early sunday mornings walang traffic. Sinubukan kong hatawin for the first time para matanggal mga carbon deposits. First time ko rin napaabot ng 4k plus rpm hehehe. Lakas talaga humatak kahit 1.4 lang. Kaso nung nag menor menor nako and papitik pitik lang sa accelerator ayun meron pa palang engine knock. Sa higher rpms wala siyang knocking. So na conclude ko na talaga na hindi nga gasoline ang problem kungdi ecu timing at low rpm may diprensya. Nung pauwi na nag radio nalang ako para hindi mairita hehhe

i think maganda ang combination natin ni bratski and jayr, Si bratski, hindi pa nagpaupdate ng ecu pero me engine knock, si jayr nagpaupdate pero umokey na, ako naman, dalawang update nawala yung engine knock, pero nag lolow power. Talagang macocompare natin ang situation ng isat isa

Guys I tested an accent kahapon na may knocking, and we swapped rides para nga maconfirm yong observations namin.

And obviously, wala yong sa akin, while sa kanya, noticeable yong knocking sound when the engine is between 1500 - 2000RPM, the time when the tranny shifts from 2nd to 3rd. But when it surpasses 2000RPM, mawawala na yong knocking sound.

I noticed when I tried shutting down the AirCon, yong knocking sound is gone. Yong unit na natest ko kahapon, parang hirap yong accent at those RPM. Pansin ko yata, parang CVT ang problemang to. Hirap ang makina when the tranny is in transition to change gear from 2nd to 3rd or di kaya when your at lower steady phase. But when you depress the gas pedal, giving the engine a good amount of fuel, eh nawawala yong knocking sound. Napansin ko rin, na kahit hatawin mo yong sasakyan, lalabas at lalabas pa rin in the mid 1500-2000RPM yong knock.

Someone mentioned about RIo's gamma engines. Ang problema kasi with RIO, hindi naka CVT, kaya malamang in-existent tong problemang to sa kanila.

Aside from ECU Remapping, we might also consider suggesting to look at the possibilities of reprogramming the CVT.

And one thing pala, yong unit ko only refills gas on only one shell station, plus ang sa akin, I sometimes mixed my fuel type from super unleaded to V-power on full tank basis. Yong sa kanya raw, Petron unleaded.

I'll try filling up this week for an XCS or unleaded para ma-obserbahan ng husto.

city driving ka po ba with traffic? ganian din fc ko kapag nasa city ako pero madami talagang sasakyan and sobrang ma traffic. pero kapag pauwi na ko average ko e 8.5-9 Litters sa odometer. medyo province road. madami dami din sasakyan.

Hindi ganyan ang sound bro, pag ganyan ang tunog malamang butas butas na yung piston nyan. Mas softer yung sound niya.

Talagang hinahanap-hanap ko sir yong knocking sound. But the only advantage I have is I only fill gas on only one station na malapit sa office namin. The moment kasi inilabas sa showroom yong unit, hindi nakatikim ng ibang fuel other than super unleaded or v-power. Sometimes I mixed it up. Pag may quarter a tank left with unleaded, the next refill would be V-Power and vice versa. Eh, if panay V-Power naman, eh bulsa natin ang mahihirapan nyan. But I'd rather pay 3 pesos more while waiting for the exact ECU Map, than filling up 3 pesos less at magknoknock naman ang engine

I'll try to fill up petron unleaded pag naubos tong fuel ko.

Pero tingin ko sir, parang hirap ang makina to transition from 2nd to 3rd Gear at lower RPM (from 1500RPM-2000RPM). Pero sinubokan ko patayin ang aircon, and bahagyang nawala yong knock at any RPM Range, dahilan siguro na mas lesser engine load w/o the AC. With AirCon switched on, paara yatang nangangapa for more fuel yong makina during that stage. Pero paglagpas 2000RPM, bahagyang mawawala yong pinging noise.
