When I saw the all new Grand Starex I feel so excited to own one already.Thank you.

Yes indeed I bet that the Grand Starex will be a better move than owning a HiAce Grandia. It's a car- like driving experience with larger room. I own an older starex and it's a great drive for me eversince I owned it. My friend had a hiace and he's not satisfied with the hiace's seating configuration even it can haul 6 more passenger than mine. Choosing grand starex is like a decade-leap on vehicle innovations. it's actually a no brainer choice if you had a budget. Go get it soon.

saw a grand starex again yesterday. and i cant help but think its looks like a big innova. hmmmm.... well the front anyways.. someone mentioned this in another forum that the grandstarex is heading the way of the MPV..and i agree... i guess the GRX models are the last of the total van design...

May plano kaya silang ilabas 'tong gasoline version dito? But then again, baka sa presyong walang bibili din nila ibenta 'to.

if that's the posted fuel economy rating (7.1 Km/L), what would the actual be? Around 5 Km/L? i'd stick with the CRDI engine.

Agree bro.... Even the SAs, who I was conversing with a few days ago could only shake their heads in utter disbelief on their marketing and pricing schemes... Kung sila napapailing na,- tayong bibili, ano pa kaya?....

Who wouldn't? Especially when the numerous feedbacks they're getting from their current customers are more of shock, frustration and disappointment.... (isa ako roon......)...

Again, they're deep into this strategy. I wonder how they'll pull themselves out of this pit....

Ang naisip ko lang na paraan para bumaba yung presyo ng Grand Starex ay kung gawin nilang CKD to gaya ng ginawa ng Nissan sa Urvan Estate nila. Kaso, ala naman atang assembly plant ang Hyundai dito.

To anyone who drives a 2000 millenium Starex. Tanong ko lang kung para saan yung RR-Fan switch? located in the dashboard behind the steering wheel and the one in the aircon side control panel at the back. Magkano at saan nakakabili ng woodgrain door handle panel?

    My first post:

    1. More Specific Threads. I just wished the mods of this forum can allow more specific threads to be opened, a new visitor would have to go through tons of pages just to find specific info he's looking for. (Sample of sub topics: Gray vs. Hari, Gen 4 bashing thread etc)
    2. Carnival vs. GS. Because of the posts on these thread, in spite of the fact that I was already dead set on getting a GS, I went to Kia to take a serious look at the Carnival. I was so impressed with all the bells and whistles (power doors and tailgate etc). But when I saw the 9/10 seater swivel version of the GS, I was floored. It's basically a limousine configuration in a van. The lap of luxury indeed. So, I've decided that for my purposes, Carnival vs. GS is no contest. Grand Starex it is!!
    3. HVX vs. VGT. The HARI (E Rod) sales rep actually made a good suggestion that I should just get the swivel model (P1.648M) and just add the rear mirror/wiper and leather seats. Are there other critical features that I will be missing if I get the 10 seater swivel model and not the 1.798M (gray market top-of-the-line) or the 1.768M (Gold Variant of HARI).
Would appreciate a LOT of inputs from everyone, please please please.

Actually I'll be buying a van in the next 3-4 months and now I'm dead set on the GS but I really don't like the offerings from HARI, ang daming kulang, unlike the units offered by the gray market kumpleto sa options although it comes with only with 1 year warranty unlike the units from HARI which gets 5 years warranty. But I suggest that you see for yourself and compare the HARI units vs gray market units. I don't know how will the Gold variant look like as it has yet to be launched.

on number 1, you can always use the search button if you dont want to go over the tons of pages, but believe me those tons of pages you will gain a lot of info

on number 3, regarding what you will be missing on the hari version, as of now:

    HVX Model 1.798M adds:

    VDC, Vehicle Dynamic Control
    dual srs airbag
    dual sun roof
    leather seats and sidings
fully automatic aircon (digital type display) not sure on hari models
    rear wiper and washer
rear spoiler with 3rd brake light
    rear underview mirror
    17" size rims
    L/R front seat heaters
    OEM 2 din HU
    steering wheel audio controls
    windshield wiper heater
    side repeater light
    glass mounted antena
small cooler good for one or two small bottled water

well that's it i guess, if i miss anything paki add na lang

Php 150,000 diffirence from the 1.648 swivel seats
    or
Php 90,000 difference from the 1.738 non leather HVX to 1.648 swivel of hari

considering not touching the warranty issue for the above cars

no specs yet on the gold variant from hari

correction lang po, dual srs airbag na pala ang 1.648M na swivel seat variant ng hari as per the unit at MIAS

baka nga hindi rin power retractable ang side view mirror ng hari

and according to the sales agent ng hyundai at MIAS hindi na daw maglalabas ng gold variant ang hari, kse mostly un ang tanong, or baka sales talk lang, and yet to be verified from hari mismo

Correct ka diyan sir fastlane, hinanap-hanap ko yan while looking at the display of Wheels E. Rod, wala ako nakita retract button for the side mirror.

In order to add a rear wiper, you would have to change the rear windshield since the wiper is mounted through the glass. Too costly and impractical.
