Mga sir, i recently bought a 2010 HVX for our growing family. Im not too familiar sa Starex kaya I would like to ask the gurus here kung saan nila pinapamaintain ang engine and AC ng Starex nila..TIA!

Bro- engine,- wala namang problema ang makina ng Starex,- but for your PM,- Customer's Cradle in front of Perpetual Hospital should be a good place to do it. Just follow the recommended PM of Hyundai.

A/C,- just a couple of hundred meters from Customer's Cradle,-along ZapAlab Rd going to Alabang,- there's CeeJay's,- a good shop to maintain your A/C.

It's usually the male sliding door stopper/s. Or your doors need to get aligned.

EGR cleaning depends on usage and model. If mostly used in the city and the older 2011 VGT model like the one we have maybe as early as 2-3 years. The newer models have an EGR that doesn't clog as easily. Should cost a few thousand pesos.

If you get the EGR cleaned might as well have the intercooler cleaned too.

To avoid getting the EGR clogged best to have it run at high rpm on highway speeds from time to time.

Thanks Sir! Got my unit 2nd hand kasi so not too familiar with the history. Its a 2012 vgt unit with 55k mileage. Was thinking for peace of mind to just have it done since ive seen it quite a few times here on the thread.

I will have the oil changed na din and maybe schedule change of atf. Anything else you would recomment to have done? Change cabin filter? Thanks sir!

Baka naman DPF lang yun, naghahanap lang talaga ng birit? Is it purely city driven? I make it a point to bring my dpf equipped vehicle (all have been since 2007) to the expressway for regeneration of the dpf at least once every 2 months.

Afaik basta crdi euro2 and above na hyundai meron dpf. Kahit nga yung starex grx na hindi vgt meron dpf.

You can also have the EGR, intake manifold checked. If they’re clean the previous owner most probably had it cleaned before.
