Why not get an Escalade na lang?
Never driven both vehicles, but my guts tells me I'll go with the X5. My brother is in the market for a new SUV, trade niya ang Expedition to new H2, but I'm trying to convince him into getting a Nissan Armada instead.
Armada? A bit too much...
Y'know, If I could go to the US... drooool... I'd get myself an FX35 or FX45... harsh riding, maybe, but kind of like a poor (well, semi-rich, then) man's X5... and it still looks light years better than most "SUVs".
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
escalade? meron... malapit sa MRT North station & C5-Katipunun underpass.
Me nakikita nga akong Escalade sa isang car lot bandang White Plains.Originally Posted by mazdamazda

thanks sir mazdamazda
makapaginquire nga heheheheh :D
you have number sir? thanks you po :D
check the classified ads sa newspapers din... canvass ka. how much ba budget mo sir? 4m+? i saw touareg v8 for 3.7m a few weeks back. wow factor ba un importance? driving dynamics? power? i wouldnt suggest the 3.0d x5 cuz its butt ugly and looks wayy old. if x5... i would stretch for the 4.4i or the 4.6i with the bigger wheels and body kit. starting price for the cayenne is still around 5m+. escalade would be around 4.5-5m ata or less. range rover mga 7m+ i think. the lexus gx470 is good but its still a dressed up prado minus the tire cover at the back(its stored sa baba ata). range rover sport is good.

Which ain't a bad idea... a secondhand H1 (with original Philippine Marine stencilling and gun turret) would cost only 1.5 million. May change ka na rin for an extra garage/bedroom.![]()

oo nga! H1 na lang. may nakita ako sa classifieds na red na orig H1 wagon 400 k lang kaso tingin ko kelangan pa i-restoreOriginally Posted by niky
Agree, the original H1 retains its old charm, or baditude if you like. It wasn't built for handling and economy but unlike the glamorized H2, the rare H1 has all Dessert Storm action written all over it meaning aside from a monster truck or a tank, you're the king of roads and offroads and everyone knows it. For ultimate fun in speed, buy a Hayabusa, or any 600cc bike and chuck it at the back of your H1. Some sort of terrain and torque portability. You can't go wrong with a good dose of ego once in awhile, right? Then again if you're opting for luxury SUV my best bet goes to MB G500 or G55 AMG which somehow matches the shape of an H1, better than the typical shape of an X5. Quite a considerable sum though but a Z4 and a Merc on your driveway... I envy you mossy greenOriginally Posted by niky

X5 kahit malapit na ma-phase out.. nde pa sya Bangle-lized kaya the looks is classic BM...
H2... its a freaking Tahoe/Colorado underneath... Would you trust your money to a company going down and has the worst quality of the big 3???
The Hummer brand was just bought by GM, but there is no way that H2 & H3s are authentic AM General Hummers...

If you plan to ram those unruly bikes and trikes on the road, get the Hummer. I also reckon it can do better than the X5 in the rough.
But if none of those are on your mind, the X5 is the automatic choice. You've got sophisticated engine technology (3.0 gas and diesel, 4.6 and 4.8 V8) versus dated powertrain (GM pushrod V8) that can go as low as 1 mpg! The X5 is also way more civilized on-road and looks better than any SUV in the world. I'd choose the 3.0d, but if you're patient enough, wait for the newer model like the others said.
